mono 一个；单独的；单一的

“mono” 来自于希腊文中的“mónos”（单独），应该是英文中最寂寞的字首。在英文的运用中， “mono” 也自然成为“一个”、“单独的”、“单一的”意思。

“uni” 在拉丁文中的原型是 “ūnus”，也就是“一个” (one) 的意思。可是在英文中表达的意义与 “mono” 完全不同：”mono” 是表示“单独，单一的”，而 “uni” 是代表“特别的，独一无二”的意思。在运用想象力来帮助记忆时，可以想象本来有许多不同的事物与想法，可是 “uni” 已出现，纷乱的事项开始产生结论，可能因为大家整合之后达到共识，要不然就是有「独特」的事情要出现了。

universe 宇宙

The word “universe” literally means all existing matter in space as a whole, while scientific research shows that the universe is constantly expanding.「宇宙」字面意思是所有存在在空间中的物体是一个整体，而科学研究发现宇宙正在不断的扩大。

univocal 单义单一的意思,意义明确的
