光军语言文化：月亮是人们黑夜仰望星空的焦点，无不充满美丽神秘的魅力，它时常出现在人们的诗歌中。 中国传统文化中，月亮一般都免不了带有孤独、清冷、愁绪、相思等气息，在中国古诗中，月亮常被当作诗人触物生情和宣泄情绪的对象和媒介。“举杯邀明月，对影成三人。”中是一种孤独的基调；“月落乌啼霜满天，江枫渔火对愁眠。”是一种落第后的悲伤心情。人们期盼月圆但又想起月亏，便有了“人有悲欢离合，月有阴晴圆缺，此事古难全。”的佳句。明月总是充满让诗人思绪万千、高悬莫测。
而在英文诗歌中月亮代表的形象更加轻松活波，可以是红颜化身或伴侣，也可以是魔力的来源或代表，这些都受到西方神话故事的影响，诸如月亮女神狄阿娜、巫师、狼人、吸血鬼等，在西方月亮不怎么受见待，在英文诗歌中出现的不多。鲍勃·图克的诗《月亮,我的朋友》中，月亮成了一个调皮淘气的顽童，不甘在空中独自寂寞，便顺着树爬到地面找寻伙伴，诗歌活波、轻松、祥和。
