兩年之前奪冠之後，摩納哥的成績開始下滑，特別是上賽季之後，球隊已經不復競爭力。他們賣掉了勒馬爾、法比尼奧、巴爾德、格扎爾和孔戈洛，特別是失去了姆巴佩，本週六客場與圖盧茲惡戰之前已經連續輸給了波爾多和馬賽，被裡爾逼平，並且在超級盃中被巴黎聖日耳曼重創。他們在這3場失利中丟掉9球，近4場正式比賽只贏下1場，其中2場未能取得進球。

After winning the title two season ago, and almost contec last year, it looks like Monaco’s good run has ended. Thye sold Lemar, Fabinho, Baldé, Ghezzal and Kongolo, on top of sealing the exit of Mbappe, and before the Saturday tough away fixture against Toulouse, they lost 2 in a row against Bordeaux and Olympique Marseille, drew against Lille and got heavily defeated in the Super Cup against PSG. They conceded 9 goals in those 3 defeats, and in all competitions they have won only 1 of the last 4 played, not being able to score in 2.
Atletico de Madrid had an early home fixture against Eibar on Saturday to recover from the shocking defeat against Celta Vigo before the international break, and need to build up on the good scores obtained against Valencia (1-1 away) and Real Madrid in the Super Cup (2-4).
They defeated Marseille in the Europa League final, and should be able to start their European season with another victory here.
