Dessert & Desert
Dessert是一种甜点，而the desert是指的是又热又干的沙漠。
Accept & Except
Accept意思是接受或是同意某事物，而except则恰恰相反，指的是排除的意思。
There & their
前一个单词是地点副词而后者是物主代词。例如Their house is over there.
Principle and principal
Principle是信条、价值观或是基本原则的意思，而principal意思是学校的校长，或是主要的事物。前一个单词是个名词而后一个是动词，因此你可以advise someone by giving them good advice.
Borrow &lend
To borrow意思是借贷某物，而to lend意思是借出某物。 例如Can I borrow your car? Sorry, I can\\\\\'t lend it to you today.
Despite & although
这两个单词意思相近但是用法不同。Despite是介词而although是连词。例如 He won the race despite his injury. He won the race although he had an injury.
Affect & effect

Personal & personnel
你的personal详细信息包括你的名字，年龄和国籍，而 personnel意思是公司的职员。
Assure & ensure
To assure某人意思是打消他们的疑惑或使他们安心，而ensure意思是确保(某事发生)。例如I assured him that you would be there, so please ensure that you get to the meeting on time.
