臺軍演習17日早間在臺中清泉崗基地進行預演時出現意外，臺陸軍“特戰指揮部”上兵秦良豐跳傘後主、副傘均未完全張開，自1300英尺（約396米）高空26秒墜落地面，重傷送醫搶救後奇蹟般生還，恢復狀況超乎預期。
跳傘是一個風險度較高的活動，臺軍此次演習的是400米低空跳傘，一旦開傘失敗幾乎沒有挽救的餘地。這名臺軍傘兵的幸運之處是降落傘打開不完全，還有一定的減速作用，因而他落地所受的衝擊力較小保住了一條命。如果降落傘沒有打開，那就神仙難救了。
另一方面，臺軍的這個演練項目是模擬解放軍低空滲透。低空傘降滲透有一定的隱蔽性，但是傘兵攜帶物資少，傘降之後還需要聚攏隊伍和物資，會增加暴露時間並耽誤行動時間。傘降對於臺灣這種佈防密度較高的環境而言並不是很好的選擇。直升機機降才是更方便也更隱蔽的方式。
回到跳傘失敗這件事上來。我第一時間的想到的是一首從二戰起就在美軍傘兵中傳頌的歌：《blood on the risers（血染傘繩）》。經典二戰劇《兄弟連》和不少二戰題材遊戲中也能聽到這首歌。這首歌講述了一個新兵蛋子跳傘失敗摔死的全過程。描述死亡和慘烈會讓士兵更快適應戰場的殘酷，這類歌曲也在外軍文化中有重要的意義，類似題材和內容在外軍軍歌中也有體現。
這首歌是南北戰爭期間《Battle Hymn of the Republic（共和國戰歌）》的改詞版本，旋律可以說是非常耳熟能詳了，大家對著下面的歌詞來聽聽吧！
