我們都知道 gather和collect均可表示“收集”的意思，但是你知道這兩個單詞的細緻區別嗎？
collect具體是指在一大堆東西中區別挑選一部分的意思，所以表示收藏某類物品時多用此詞；
1.1.5 million signatures have been collected.
已經收集到150萬人的簽名。
2. She had just collected her pension from the post office.
她剛去郵局取了養老金。
3. I collect shells and interesting seaside items.
我收集貝殼和海邊有趣的小玩意

而gather則強調將散亂的東西集中起來（這個過程可以使被動的也可以是主動的），便於下一步生活工作的進行；
