英语中不定冠词a/an 与 one很多时候是可以通用的，但有些时候代表的含义却大相径庭，今天就一起来看看a/an 与 one的用法区别。
1. at a time与at one time
The ship fetched 100 people at a time.
这条船每次能运送100人。（每次，一次）
It used to be a very pretty vallay at one time.
这里曾经是一处非常美丽的山谷。（从前，曾经，一度）
类似的短语还有：
as one man 众人一致地
as a man 就其性格而论
在表示与别的事物相对照时，一般用one，不用a/n；与the 连用时，只用one，不用a/an；
One man's meat is another man’s poison.
利甲者未必利乙。
2. more than a year 不同于more than one year
It will take more than a year to build the school.
修这所学校需要一年的时间。（意指一年以上、两年以下）
It will take more than one year to build the school.
修这所学校需要不止一年的时间。（不止一年，可能两年、三年）
3.“ 在so/as/too/how+形容词”结构中表示强调或比较，a/an 不能与one 互换。
They have not so cold a day as this for many years.
他们已经很多年没遇到这么寒冷的一天了。
4.“a/an+名词+of+a/an + 名词”是一种固定结构，前面的名词表示的是后面名词的性质或特征，意思为“像……一样的，是属于某一类的”，这种结构中，不能用one；
a mountain of a wave 滔天巨浪
a palace of a house 宫殿般的宅邸
a bull of a man 壮如公牛的男人
a honey of an idea 绝妙的主意
an angel of a girl 天使般的女孩
a chit of a girl 黄毛丫头
a lamb of a temper 羔羊般的脾气
a rascal of a fellow 无赖之徒
a treasure of a son 宝贝儿子
a horror of a woman 可怕的女人
说明：这种结构中第一个名词前也可以用形容词，形容词性物主代词，the, this, that, these, one, those, some等;有时候，第二个名词前可加形容词；第二个名词还可以用复数形式。
this slip of a boy 这个瘦高的男孩
a curved beak of a nose 鹰钩鼻子
a great moon of a face 大圆脸
the hell of a mistake 大错特错
this beast of a man 这个讨厌的人
5. turn writer 还是turn a writer；
当turn 和 go 作“变成”解时，其后用做表语的单数可数名词前不用定冠词。
Sha turned writer in 2019.
她2019年当了作家。
6. 在数学运算中，只能用one；表示“其中之一，第一”时只能用one；在某些谚语或固定单配中只能用one；
Once one is one. 一乘以一等于一。
One of the best ways to keep friends is to return it.
交友的秘籍之一就是礼尚往来。
with one voice 异口同声
one last time 最后一次
one at a time 一次一个
One hand washes another.有来有往
One swallow does not make a summer.
一燕不成夏。
7.half与冠词搭配使用时有不同的用法
half+a/an+名词的表达方式英美通用，但美式英语也常把a放在half前；
half a bottle=a half bottle 半瓶
half a mile= a half mile 半里地
half作形容词常用的结构为half+a/an/the+名词；
half作名词常用的结构为half of+a/an/the+名词；
half one‘s pay= half of one‘s pay 一半的报酬
8. one 用做代词相当于“a person”时，不用a/an;
The officer is one who gives orders.
