洛杉磯當地時間2019年2月2日晚7點，第46屆安妮獎（Annie Awards）頒獎典禮在加州大學洛杉磯分校羅伊斯廳舉辦。頒獎典禮現場星光熠熠，共同期待第46屆安妮獎（Annie Awards）最終獲獎名單的揭曉。其中，《蜘蛛俠：平行宇宙》(Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse)成為本次安妮獎最大贏家。這部已經獲得第76屆金球獎最佳動畫獎、第91屆奧斯卡最佳動畫片提名的動畫片，在本次安妮獎橫掃包括最佳動畫電影在內的7項大獎。
《蜘蛛俠：平行宇宙》導演Bob Persichetti在接受美國城市衛視記者Julia採訪時表示，這部電影向青少年兒童傳遞了使命感與正義感，這種強大的精神力量可以在影片的方方面面體現出來，使得電影極富感染力。

本屆安妮獎獲獎電影《愛‧滿人間》（Mary Poppins Returns）動畫角色設計師James Woods 獲得本次安妮獎最佳動畫電影角色設計提名。他表示，如果用三個詞語形容這部電影，那就是驚喜的（surprising）、 神奇的（magical）以及富有冒險精神的（adventurous）。創作電影的過程中他腦洞大開。

在電視動畫方面，Netflix在今晚的成績令人驚豔，由其出品的《馬男波傑克》(BoJack Horseman)與《希爾達》(Hilda) 所獲獎項佔據了電視動畫領域的三分之一江山；同樣亮眼的還有迪士尼頻道(Disney Channel)的動畫片Disney Mickey Mouse，其在本次安妮獎包攬了3項大獎。
