深圳雍乾盛世今日展出一枚孫像雙帆壹圓銀幣鑑賞
1912年元旦，中華民國宣告成立，孫中山出任臨時大總統。民國元年，南京鑄幣廠首鑄孫中山肖像中華民國開國紀念幣，僅屬試鑄。民國十六年(1927年)，北伐成功，南北統一，袁像幣告終。改由天津、南京、浙江、四川、等造幣廠沿用民國元年南京廠之舊模，鑄孫中山頭像銀幣，作為國幣，俗稱“小頭”。

1929年，時值國民黨政府推行所謂“法幣”政策，以中央、中國、交通三大銀行發行的紙幣為法定貨幣，白銀收歸國有，限期以法幣兌換銀幣，銀圓已不成合法通貨。故此二十三年孫中山像雙帆銀幣鑄成之後，並未流通於市，存世量之少可想而知。
