acquire和get, gain, attain, obtain
这组词的共同意思是“取得; 获得”。其区别是：
1）对象
get的对象则比较广泛,即既可以是具体的东西,也可以是抽象的事物；
acquire和attain 的对象多为知识、技能等;
attain 常用于庄重场合；
obtain的对象多为期望已久的东西;
gain的对象多为经验、利益、优势、好处等;
2）努力程度
get是这组同义词中的最常用词,可指主动争取,也可指被动接受,有时不一定需要很大努力就能获得;
acquire指持续不懈，慢慢地获得, 强调过程;
gain都强调经过艰苦，巨大的努力而获得的结果, 比obtain所付出的努力还要大些，往往指通过竞争所得；
obtain多指通过长期努力而获得,有时也指无须经过努力，强调结果；
attain 正式用语,指经过艰苦努力才使人达到完美境地。
3）示例
He did not get what he had earned. 他未获得他应得到的东西。

3. Capture Somebody
抓捕某人（多指罪犯）
take prisoner, take control of sth by force from an enemy 捕获，指凭武力、谋略或计划而在经过较量取得胜利或克服较大的障碍、困难或反抗之后而“捕获”“捉住”或“夺得”“获得”。
The police have not captured the thief yet. 警方尚未将小偷抓获。
