“民國帆船幣”俗稱“船洋”，這枚民國錢幣與中國民主革命偉大先行者孫中山有著密切的關係。作為中國近代民族民主主義革命的開拓者，孫中山發起、領導的辛亥革命徹底推翻了中國封建王朝統治，並在辛亥革命後被推舉為中華民國臨時大總統，在歷史上留下不可磨滅的功勳。為了讓世人銘記孫中山先生的豐功偉績，在民國時期，鑄造發行了鐫有孫中山先生頭像各種版式的銀幣。“船洋”是民國政府在1933年和1934年間鑄造的，整幣通體為雪花銀鑄造。
