Well, as for me, it is true that modern technology prevents people from reading books.
First, reading books is no longer appealing due to other sources of entertainment. For example, individuals nowadays can do so many other things, such as playing online games, watching incredible videos and reading celebrity gossips. As a result, novels or other books seem to be mundane.
Also, reading books is now considered to be inconvenient, since sifting through hundreds of pages is much more time-consuming than doing a quick search on the Internet. ( 88 words)
That’s why I agree that less and less people read books as a result of the modern technology.

Well, I think kids should help with housework right away.
First, doing so teaches children really valuable skills. For example, I was required to prepare breakfast for my little brother every day before school, so when I moved away to attend college it was really easy to prepare healthy meals for myself. As a result, I have always been in great shape both physically and mentally.
Also, family members can bond when they share responsibilities. To be more specific, young people are sometimes shy, but if they spend a lot of time with their parents doing chores they might open up a bit. Accordingly, they will be more likely to discuss their feelings. (113words)
