No matter how mean your life is,meet it and live it ;do not shun it and call it hardnames.It is not so bad as you suppose.It looks poorest when you are richest.The fault-finder will find faults in paradise.Love your life,poor as it is.You may perhaps have some pleasant,thrilling, glorious hourss, even in a poor-house. The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich man's abode;the snow melts before its door as early in the spring.不论你的生活如何卑贱，你要面对它生活，不要躲避它，更别用恶言咒骂它。它不像你那样坏。你最富有的时候，倒是看似最穷。爱找缺点的人就是到天堂里也能找到缺点。你要爱你的生活，尽管它贫穷。甚至在一个济贫院里，你也还有愉快、高兴、光荣的时候。夕阳反射在济贫院的窗上，像身在富户人家窗上一样光亮；在那门前，积雪同在早春融化。
I do not see but a quiet mind may live as contentedly there,and have as cheering thoughts,as in a palace.The town's poor seem to me often to live the most independent lives of any.May be they are simply great enough to receive without misgiving.Most think that they are above being supported by the town;but it often happens that they are not above supporting themselves by dishonest means.which should be more disreputable.我只看到，一个从容的人，在哪里也像在皇宫中一样，生活得心满意足而富有愉快的思想。城镇中的穷人，我看，倒往往是过着最独立不羁的生活。也许因为他们很伟大，所以受之无愧。大多数人以为他们是超然的，不靠城镇来支援他们；可是事实上他们是往往利用了不正当的手段来对付生活，他们是毫不超脱的，毋宁是不体面的。
Cultivate poverty like a garden herb,like sage.Do not trouble yourself much to get new things,whether clothes or friends,Turn the old,return to them.Things do not change;we change.Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts. 视贫穷如园中之花而像圣人一样耕植它吧！不要找新的花样，无论是新的朋友或新的衣服，来麻烦你自己。找旧的，回到那里去。万物不变，是我们在变。你的衣服可以卖掉，但要保留你的思想。

Today before you think of saying an unkind word, think of someone who can't speak. 如今，在你出言不逊前，想想那些身患哑疾的人吧。
Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat. 在抱怨事物不够美味前，想想那些还在忍饥挨饿的人们吧。
Before you complain about your husband or wife, think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion. 在抱怨婚姻对象不尽如意时，想想那些还在为找不到对象而愁苦的人吧。
Today before you complain about life, think of someone who went too early to heaven. 在为生活的种种深感郁闷前，想想那些早已离开人世的人吧。
Before you complain about your children, think of someone who desires children but they're barren. 在为孩子不听话而气恼前，想想那些不能生育而渴求孩子的人吧。
Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn't clean or sweep, think of the people who are living in the streets. 在为房子没人清洁打扫而发牢骚前，想想那些无家可归的人吧。
Before whining about the distance you drive, think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. 在抱怨行车旅途太长前，想想那些要走相同距离的徒步者吧。
And when you are tired and complain about your job, think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job. 在你感到疲惫，厌烦工作前，想想那些失业工人和残疾人以及渴望有一份你这样的工作的人吧。
But before you think of pointing your finger or condemning another, remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one maker. 在指责他人前，想想吧，人都不是完美的，我们都对上帝尽责。
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down, put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around. 当消极思维让你深感沮丧时，微笑吧，并感谢上帝赐予你生命。
Life is a gift, enjoy it, celebrate it, and fulfill it... 生活是一份礼物，享受它，庆祝它，充实它。
And while you want to give love to someone today, love someone with what you do and the words you say.当你要向某人表达爱意，用你的言行去爱吧。
Love is not meant to be kept locked inside of us and hidden, so give it away" Give love to someone today!"爱并非要深藏于心底，表达出来吧，“现在就去爱！”
