不久前奧斯卡像往常一樣再次吸引了全世界喜歡看電影的人的眼球。但是這次好像有些意外，那些在無比美妙的聲光電特效下的光影世界如今卻少了許多美輪美奐的特效場景和酣暢淋漓的熱血場面。取而代之的是關於一些反思自己，反思社會問題的深刻題材。
而其中最讓人動容的莫過於一篇看似平凡無奇的獲獎感言。起初看到這篇獲獎感言發言稿的時候，我不以為然。心想無非就是感謝導演製片電視臺等俗套的感謝語言。和讓人作嘔的各種自我嘲諷從而換來大家的掌聲和讚美的聲音。
但是當我真的看到電影男主親自登臺現場演講的時候，他眼睛裡的淚水和愧疚讓我真正感受到演員內心深深的自責和真誠的懺悔。是的電影可以是一種毫無意義的商業產品，靠吸引眼球賺取經濟利潤的工具。

And I do not feel elevated above any of my fellow nominees, or anyone in this room, because we share the same love... the love of film, and this form of expression has given me the most extraordinary life. I don’t know what I’d be without it. But I think the greatest gift that it’s given me and many of us in this room is the opportunity to use our voice for the voiceless.
我不覺得自己高高在上勝過我的同僚或者在這座禮堂裡的任何一個電影人。因為我們都熱愛電影，正是這種熱愛給了我無以倫比的生活體驗。我甚至不知道如果沒有它我還能是誰。但是我認為最偉大的禮物對於我和在這裡的所有人來說還不光是愛而是能為那些無法發聲的群體發聲的機遇。
I’ve been thinking a lot about some of the distressing issues that we are facing collectively. And I think at times we feel or were made to feel, that we champion different causes. But for me, I see commonality. I think, whether we're talking about gender inequality, or racism, or queer rights, or indigenous rights, or animal rights, we're talking about the fight against injustice. We're talking about the fight against the belief that one nation, one people, one race, one gender, or one species has the right to dominate, control and use and exploit another with impunity.
我最近想了很多關於我們人類現在所面臨的種種困境和心酸往事。我舉得那些糟心事恰恰是命中註定發生然後讓我們思考的。
那就是我們自認為是世界的主宰。但是我卻看到了一種共性。那就是不管我們是在談論性別歧視，種族主義或是同性戀權利又或是土著權利或是動物權利，我們最終都是在談論對抗不公。對抗一種觀念那就是一個國家一個民族一個種族一個性別或是一個物種可以凌駕控制利用另一個國家民族種族性別或是物種而不受任何懲戒。And I think we fear the idea of personal change, because we think that we have to sacrifice something to give something up. But human beings, at our best, are so inventive and creative and ingenious, and I think that when we... use love and compassion as our guiding principles, we can create, develop, and implement systems of change that are beneficial to all sentient beings and to the environment.
我還覺得我們懼怕個人改變這種想法，因為我們會認為自己不得不犧牲一些什麼或是放棄些什麼。但是人類本應該是那麼善於發明創造和勤勉的，當我們用愛與包容作為指導思想的時候我們就能創造發展和完善一個新的體系這種體系對於世界萬物和環境都是收益無窮的。
Now... I have been a scoundrel all my life. I've been selfish. I've been cruel at times, hard to work with, and ungrateful, but so many of you in this room have given me a second chance. And I think that's when we're at our best, when we support each other, not when we cancel each other out for past mistakes, but when we help each other to grow, when we educate each other, when we guide each other toward redemption. That is the best of humanity.

I think that we've become very disconnected from the natural world. And many of us, what we're guilty of is an egocentric world view, the belief that we're the center of the universe. We go into the natural world, and we plunder it for its resources. We feel entitled to artificially inseminate a cow, and when she gives birth, we steal her baby, even though her cries of anguish are unmistakable. And then we take her milk, that's intended for her calf, and we put it in our coffee and our cereal.
我覺得我們已經和大自然漸行漸遠非常格格不入了。我們很多人的罪過就是自我中心主義世界觀，這種思想就是我們是這個宇宙的核心。我們闖入自然界，我們因為想要自然界的資源而肆意榨取彼此爭奪。我們認為自己有權力堂而皇之的人工授精一隻奶牛，當她生產的時候，我們又偷走她的奶牛寶寶儘管她哭的聲嘶力竭，我們卻認為那是心安理得。我們還擠走她的牛奶並加在我們的咖啡和麥片粥裡，那可是奶牛寶寶們的口糧啊。
