【一字一故事】
字：石 stone
造字本义：坚硬的矿物质山岩，岩块。今义指石头。
故事：齐白石“化石为泥”QI BAISHI "TURNS STONE INTO MUD"
齐白石①年轻的时候爱好篆刻。
Qi Baishi ①loved seal cutting when he was young.
一天，他去向一位老篆刻家求教。
One day, he went to an old seal Carver for advice.
那位老篆刻家说：“你挑来一担石头，刻了磨，磨了刻，等到这些石头都变成了泥浆，你的印也就刻好了。”
The old seal Carver said, "you pick a load of stones, carve them, grind them, and when they become mud, your seal will be carved."
齐白石真的挑来一担石头，夜以继日地练习篆刻。
Qi Baishi really picked a load of stonesand practiced seal cutting day and night.
他一边刻一边拿篆刻名家的作品对照、琢磨。
At the same time, he compared and polished the works of famous seal carvers.
他刻了磨平，磨平了再刻。手上磨起了泡，仍然专心致志地刻个不停。
He grinds and grinds, grinds and carves again. There was a blister on his hand, and he was still dedicated to carving.
日复一日，年复一年，石头越来越少，地上淤积的泥浆越来越厚。最后，统统“化石为泥”了。

①齐白石：（1864年1月1日─1957年9月16日），祖籍安徽宿州砀山，生于湖南长沙府湘潭人。原名纯芝，字渭青，号兰亭。后改名璜，字濒生，号白石。是近现代中国绘画大师，世界文化名人。
