【一字一故事】
字：石 stone
造字本義：堅硬的礦物質山岩，巖塊。今義指石頭。
故事：齊白石“化石為泥”QI BAISHI "TURNS STONE INTO MUD"
齊白石①年輕的時候愛好篆刻。
Qi Baishi ①loved seal cutting when he was young.
一天，他去向一位老篆刻家求教。
One day, he went to an old seal Carver for advice.
那位老篆刻家說：“你挑來一擔石頭，刻了磨，磨了刻，等到這些石頭都變成了泥漿，你的印也就刻好了。”
The old seal Carver said, "you pick a load of stones, carve them, grind them, and when they become mud, your seal will be carved."
齊白石真的挑來一擔石頭，夜以繼日地練習篆刻。
Qi Baishi really picked a load of stonesand practiced seal cutting day and night.
他一邊刻一邊拿篆刻名家的作品對照、琢磨。
At the same time, he compared and polished the works of famous seal carvers.
他刻了磨平，磨平了再刻。手上磨起了泡，仍然專心致志地刻個不停。
He grinds and grinds, grinds and carves again. There was a blister on his hand, and he was still dedicated to carving.
日復一日，年復一年，石頭越來越少，地上淤積的泥漿越來越厚。最後，統統“化石為泥”了。

①齊白石：（1864年1月1日─1957年9月16日），祖籍安徽宿州碭山，生於湖南長沙府湘潭人。原名純芝，字渭青，號蘭亭。後改名璜，字瀕生，號白石。是近現代中國繪畫大師，世界文化名人。
