有的媽媽講，孩子不喜歡我給他讀英語書怎麼辦？試試繪本中加入兒歌吧？相信孩子會喜歡的。
大部分孩子都喜歡聽歌，並且唱歌，兒歌的韻律感與節奏感讓孩子們很容易接受，想想坐在爸爸媽媽溫暖的懷裡，聽著爸爸媽媽邊讀書邊哼唱著歌謠，哪個孩子會拒絕呢？
以usborne touchy-feely tractor一書為例，書的頁數不多，只有八頁，適合於入門級的孩子們看，這是一本觸摸書，但從內容上來說，如果媽媽不翻譯，孩子的理解會有一些困難。
首先來看看封面，封面都有什麼？what do you see on the cover?
我們看到有一個拖拉機tractor、農夫farmer、綿羊sheep，還有trees，當然還有我們常常的關於天氣weather的東東，那麼和這些東東有關的童謠有哪些？
首先們來看看farmer，有一首歌謠叫做old Macdonald Had A Farm，在農夫旁邊還坐著一隻狗，在唱歌（或者聽）的時候可以用手指著小狗，不用解釋，多指幾次，配合著叫著，慢慢地孩子就會知道了。
可以這樣子給孩子說歌謠或者唱歌謠:
Old MacDonald had a farm, e i e i o
And on his farm he had a dog, e i e i o
with a bark bark here and a bark bark there.
here bark there bark
everywhere bark bark
和tractor有關的歌謠down by the station中的一段：
Down by the station early in the morning
see the muddy tractors all in the row
see the tractor driver loading up the trailer
Chug chug chug and off we go
還可以根據the train is coming改編：The tractor is coming, oh, yah.
這個調調也很簡單，只要把主語改一下即可：
Little baby is coming, oh, yah.
Dear mummy is coming, oh, yah.
關於sheep歌謠有：
Baa baa black sheep
have you any wool?
…..
關於weather的歌謠, 在super simple song中的有一首叫做how’s the weather, it’s raining day, it’s sunny day.
再看其中一頁，我們可以問孩子：what can you see in the picture?
（其實這個問法也是可以用歌謠的方法問出來的，比如大家耳熟能詳的繪本brown bear, brown bear, what do you see? 我們可以把brown bear 改成寶貝的名字。Miss Rosie, Miss Rosie, what do you see?）
I see the farmer driving a blue tractor.
I see apple trees in the orchard
或者改成I see red apples in the trailer.
在這一頁我們看到了有dog, mouse, apple, bunny等等。
Dog的歌曲還可以用：
There was a farmer had a dog,and bingo was his name,
OH! B-I-N-G-O! B-I-N-G-O! B-I-N-G-O!
And bingo was his name, Oh!
也可以用封面的那首old MacDonald Had A Farm，重複誦唱歌謠，幫助孩子加深記憶。
那麼關於mouse的歌謠就非常多了，這首Hickory Dickory Dock是我們非常熟悉，還可以邊唱邊做動作，在《語感啟蒙》中有手指謠。
Hickory Dickory Dock,
The mouse ran up the clock.
The clock struck one,
The mouse ran down.

在清華幼兒英語裡面有一首叫做little mouse
Here is a little mouse
Peeking through a hole
Peek to the left, peek to the right

關於蘋果的歌謠apple：
Apple round, apple red.
Apple juice, apple sweet
Apple, apple, I love you.
Apple sweet I love to eat.
只要用心一本書可以唱出很多首歌謠。
相信繪本中加入兒歌，孩子對於英語的興趣一定會倍增，還用發愁孩子會不愛上英語嗎？
有的家長說，那我不會完整的唱出來怎麼辦？不會唱那我們可以念，這種有韻律的東西，念起來也很朗朗上口，那還有家長說，那我也不會念怎麼辦？那就用點讀筆，事先做好，然後給孩子唸的時候可以讓孩子點。那如果也不會點怎麼辦？那就用手邊最容易拿到的手機，事先搜索好歌曲，在讀的時候同時放，當然這是最沒有辦法中的辦法了，因為你拿出手機，可能孩子就把注意力轉移到手機上去了。
