chance 和 opportunity 都能表示“机会、机遇”。chance 常意味着因为运气或偶然而出现的机遇,含有侥幸的意味在内；opportunity 特指机遇；假如说你要感谢某人给你赚钱升官发财的机会，那你就应该说Thank you for this opportunity.而不是 Thank you for this chance.
