比較狀語從句表達人或事物的性質或特徵的不同程度的對比，涉及形容詞和副詞的比較等級級。
同級比較
同級比較就是說明人或物在某方面的性質或特徵是一樣的，結構為：as...as...。第一個as為副詞，後面跟形容詞或副詞；第二個as為連詞，後面跟是主謂結構，謂語動詞因和主句相同，一般都省略。
The soldiers are as brave as lions.
這些戰士象獅子一樣勇猛。
The long-distance runner wish he can run as fast as the horse.
這位長跑運動員真希望自己能跑得跟馬一樣快。
Red is two times as much as Blue.（紅色是藍色的兩倍。
否定結構為：not so/as...as...。
the same as意為“與...一樣”。
They look the same as each other.
他們看上去長得一樣。
just as意為“正如”，有“just as..., so...”結構。
It has turned out just as we wished.
結果終於如我們所願。
Just as we would not, so neither would you.
正如我們不願意一樣，你們也不會願意。
in the same way that意為“正如，與...一樣”。
