櫻花起源於中國
因此直接叫：東方櫻花
例：

沒有一個春天不會到來，沒有一樹櫻花不會開放。

sakura
/səˈkʌr.ə/
這本來是日語的片假名
但人們說的多了
老外也就逐漸接受了sakura=櫻花
例：
We just walk in the sunshine hand in hand and enjoy the Sakura. How nice!
我們手牽手走在陽光裡，欣賞著櫻花，是多麼美好
