结合虫洞而又显自然美的木质手串（收于2017年）所谓"十檀九空"，老树桩是很容易空的。大部分靠近树芯的位置或者侧面都有被虫蛀过的痕迹，有很多虫眼；一个技术好的师傅也能在这样的基础上进行创作，打磨出漂亮的作品。此木质手串材质坚硬，份量略轻，光滑细腻。白质黑章，深浅相间；深似黑、浅如紫似褐；木纹纹理或隐或现，或粗或细，富于变幻。
不加雕饰，突出了此手串木质本身纹理的自然美，给人以文静、柔和的感觉。The so-called "ten sandalwood and nine empty", old tree stumps are easy to empty. Most of the positions or sides near the tree core have been wormed, with many wormholes; a skilled master can also create on this basis and polish beautiful works. The wooden hand string is hard, light and smooth. White, black, alternating in depth and light; dark like black, light like purple and brown; wood grain texture is hidden or visible, thick or thin, variable.
Without carving, it highlights the natural beauty of the wood's own texture, giving people a quiet and gentle feeling.
