昨天我們講了10個俚語，今天我們講特別有範兒的形容詞。他們讀起來不容易，看起來更奇怪，但是就是那麼“高富美“，個個都透著優雅，知性，充滿正能量。
1.ubiquitous [ju'bɪkwɪtəs] - means existing or being everywhere
隨處可以見，到處都是。
聽起來有點嫌棄的意思，哈哈哈哈...比如星爸爸在中國的數量，逆天了...
我們可以說：“Starbucks coffee is ubiquitous in China."
那這個詞也可以用在你聽過的話，道理，有點“老生常談”的意思。
注意：不要用在人的身上，因為每個人都是獨一無二的，不可能出現“連鎖”...
2.cumbersome [ˈkʌmbərsəm] - difficult to move or carry
笨重的；累贅的；難處理的。通常是用在【某件東西很難搬】，因為它很重或者造型奇異；另外也可以表述一種情況，很【棘手】的事情，特別麻煩。
我們可以說：It's a cumbersome situation, a cumbersome challenge, a cumbersome life.
3. facetious [fə'siʃəs] - means not to be taken literally or serious
詼諧的；愛開玩笑的；滑稽的。它的意思不是幽默，而是說你可能在【開玩笑或者是在騙騙人都人家玩那種】；也有【吐槽開涮】別人的意思（沒有惡意的），在英語裡叫tease。
我們可以說：You are being facetious. - 你簡直了...(不可思議）
4.arduous ['ɑrdʒuəs] - describe something that you have to do like a task
努力的；費力的；險峻的。通常用到這個詞去描述有某件【很有難度，需要你花大量的精力和想法去完成】，比如寫論文吧，就是件很arduous的事，費勁。
我們可以說：It can be a long and arduous task and very often ends in failure.
5. presumptuous [prɪ'zʌmptʃuəs] - means that they're showing little or no respect for others by doing something that they shouldn't be doing
專橫的；放肆的；冒昧的。教你們最簡單的記憶方法，女朋友或者老婆總是不顧你的想法和建議，要求你這樣那樣，此時你肯定很惱火覺得她一點都【不尊重，蠻橫不講理，對你無比放肆！】；另一種情況就是你朋友來你，進家門就指指點點，或者隨意開你的抽屜翻看，那種就很【冒昧】。
我們可以說：If you just walk inside like you own the place, then you would be presumptuous.
6.pensive ['pɛnsɪv] - if somebody is pensive that just means that they are in deep thought
沉思的，憂鬱的。這個詞我很喜歡，感覺很有思想，有種哲學家的意境。【忘乎所以的沉浸在自己的思考中】，思考人生和這個琢磨不透的世界。
我們可以說：His dark eyes were pensive , almost thoughtful, and they were directly aimed at me. （是不是特別美這句話...滿滿的都是愛慕）
7.circuitous [sɚ'kjʊɪtəs] - talking about a very roundabout way to get somewhere
迂曲的；繞行的；迂迴線路的。如果你去一個陌生的地方旅遊，有人給你指路，但是終究因為先天性路盲的原因，你就【繞啊繞】，【兜了個大圈子】才找到目的地。
我們可以說：We ended up taking a circuitous route.
8.conscientious ['kɑnʃɪ'ɛnʃəs] - means that they have a moral responsibility to do their work carefully, and also you know treat others with respect
認真的；盡責的；本著良心的。老闆最喜歡這種人了，做事【小心謹慎，有責任心，懂得尊重他人】，嗯！我也喜歡！
我們可以說：He abhorred violence of any kind and was hard-working, loyal and conscientious .
9.meticulous [mə'tɪkjələs] - that means that they try to pay really close attention to the details
一絲不苟的；小心翼翼的；拘泥小節的。這種人也不是都討人喜歡的，特別【較真】，處女座的居多，什麼是都要【確認再三】，但是，反過來講，有些情況還是很需要這種性格的人的，特別是秘書啊，行政工作。
我們可以說：They're meticulous in their work.
10.convoluted ['kɑnvəlutɪd] - it means that it is extremely difficult to follow because things are connected and intertwined, and mixed around in a way that's difficult to understand.
複雜的；費解的；旋繞的。比如你的過往經歷，或者一個故事，說不清楚的感情糾纏。
我們可以說：Notice the convoluted rope work.
英語不是看了就會說的，對著鏡子說5遍，你會變的更自信，相信我。
