上节课我们学习了句子成分决定词性，对句子的六大成分已经做了基本的介绍，但主要服务于单个单词词性的判定，有一定的局限性。接下来的两节课我们将对这几大成分进行更为全面的讲解。

我们继续沿用上节课的例子。（直译中文）
- “recently”在句中是副词，翻译成“地”；
- “the”是冠词，可以译为“这个/那个（修饰单数或不可数名词时），这些/那些（修饰可数名词复数时）”，由于其后所修饰的是“activities”，可数名词复数，所以译为“这些”；
- “public”是形容词，翻译成“的”，修饰activities；
- “received”是动词，所有动词的过去时（-ed）都翻译成“……了”，所以这里received的意思是“收到了”；
- “support”既可做动词也可做名词，在这里做动词“received”的宾语，为名词。
这句话的主语是“the activities”，谓语动词是“received”，宾语是名词“support”，定语是“public”，状语是“recently”，同位语是“the government funding”.
我们来定义一下上述句子成分中的主语、谓语和宾语：
★主语：动作的发出者 比如：I love you中的I
★谓语：就是动作 比如：I love you中的love
★宾语：动作的对象/承受者 比如：I love you中的you
