在“贫穷限制了我的想象力”火遍网络后，对于"穷"这件事，最近大家又有了新的领悟，一个新的热词（buzzword）诞生了：隐形贫困人口。
该词的定义可以说是相当扎心了：
It refers to people whose consumption exceeds their income. They usually live a quality life and spend a lot of money on food, clothing, gym, spas and other daily expenses, which leaves them little or no money in their bank accounts.
指那些消费比收入多的人。他们看起来每天有吃有喝有穿有享受但实际上非常穷，日常吃土。
在享受生活的大道上拿出十八般武艺付出全部家财，上一秒朋友圈吃吃喝喝，下一秒口袋里空空如也。
天哪，这个词说的不就是我吗！
那么这个新型词汇，用英语要怎么说呢？
invisible poverty-stricken people
在网上众多英文表述当中，国才君最赞同这个译法。
Poverty是一个名词，英文释义为the condition of being poor。比如：He grew up in poverty。
Stricken这个词可以说是相当有画面感了，英文释义为suffering severely from the effects of something。比如：The little boy got absolutely panic-stricken when his mother left the doctor’s office。
这个热词一出，大家纷纷入队，向组织靠拢。但有更多的孩纸们表示：

显形的！
毕竟，要入invisible poverty-stricken people的队，还是有一定的要求的。
Invisible poverty-stricken people are not impoverished people at all. It is their unreasonable consumption that causes their impoverished condition, because their consumption exceeds their income. They lack any sense of money management that is of great importance in people's lives.
所以，隐形的我们并不是impoverished（being extremely poor），显形的孩纸才是！
接下来让我们看看"穷"这个词的各种表达形式：
1. needy 贫困的，穷人
The rich man gave much food to needy people. 那位富翁给了穷人很多食物。
2. penniless 贫穷的，身无分文的
The penniless man had to bum a ride home.那个身无分文的人只好乞求搭车回家。
3. destitute 一无所有的，贫困的
The hurricane left thousands of people destitute. 这场飓风造成的几千人失去了一切。
4. badly off 缺钱的，贫穷的
They are too badly off to have a good meal.他们太穷了，都不能吃一顿好饭。
5. in Queer Street 陷入（经济）困境，负债
I fully expect these commitments will put us in Queer Street next year. 我完全相信这些交易到明年会使我们陷入困境。
