1、Mood

Your mood is the way you are feeling at a particular time. If you are in a good mood, you feel cheerful. If you are in a bad mood, you feel angry and impatient.

Today I am in bad mood.

When he came back, he was in a foul mood.

I am in no mood for joking.

不过,与in no mood的搭配类似, in a mood也直接表示“坏心情;坏脾气”, 如:

If someone is in a mood, the way they are behaving shows that they are feeling angry and impatient.

例句:

She was obviously in a mood.

2、Upset

If you are upset, you are unhappy or disappointed because something unpleasant has happened to you.

例句:

I got upset when I heard the news.

After she died I felt very, very upset.

If something upsets you, it makes you feel worried or unhappy.

例句:

The whole incident had upset me and my fiancee terribly...

She warned me not to say anything to upset him...

3、angry

When you are angry, you feel strong dislike or impatience about something.

例句:

She had been very angry at the person who stole her new bike...

Are you angry with me for some reason?.

Sarah came forward with a tight and angry face.

If you say that someone is mad, you mean that they are very angry.

例句:

You're just mad at me because I don't want to go.

I'm pretty mad about it, I can tell you.

4、indignant

If you are indignant, you are shocked and angry, because you think that something is unjust or unfair.

例句:

He is indignant at suggestions that they were secret agents.

MPs were indignant that the government had not consulted them...

She was very indignant at the way she had been treated.

5、Despair

Despair is the feeling that everything is wrong and that nothing will improve.

例句:

Despair overwhelmed me.

She was in the depth of despair.

If you despair, you feel that everything is wrong and that nothing will improve.

例句:

He does despair at much of the press criticism.

If you despair of something, you feel that there is no hope that it will happen or improve. If you despair of someone, you feel that there is no hope that they will improve.

例句:

He wished to earn a living through writing but despaired of doing so.

6、Devastated

The old man is definitely devastated.

Bishop Daly said he was devastated by news of the Cardinal's death.

Teresa was devastated, her dreams shattered.
