代副連介定讀[δ]②，位於詞中也讀[δ]③。
說明：
①名詞、動詞、形容詞、數詞等實詞，th在其詞首或詞尾多讀[θ]。如：
theater ,thief,thousand ,Thursday ,Thanks, Three, throat, thirteen,thankful,earth, month, tooth, worth, breath,south,Smith等
②代詞、副詞、連詞、介詞和定冠詞中的th都讀[δ]，如：
this, than,that,these, those, they,them, there,though,with,without,the,themselves等。
③位於單詞中間的th也讀[δ]，如：
other,another,brother,mother,father,either,
neither,wheather,weather等。
但birthday,nothing等複合詞中的th仍讀[θ]。
