中学阶段close为什么是个难点，主要是因为其词性比较丰富，另外还有closely，closed等词与其混淆。今天我们来学习close在中学阶段的主要知识和应用。
一，我们先研究下close不同词性下的含义和运用：
A. 动词 vt. / vi.
1. 关闭；闭合；合上 （近义词shut，反义词open）
Alice sat in the sofa and closed her eyes.

2. （店铺等暂时性的）关闭，歇业；倒闭 （反义词open）
What time does the supermarket close?

Many companies closed because of the economic crisis.

1. 接近地
As they got closer，they realized the figure ahead was a thief.

1. 结束 （常用单数、正式用语）
At the close of the journey, he felt unwilling to say goodbye.
旅游结束时，他不愿说再见。
2. bring ... to a close 结束
The two countries both wanted to bring the war to a close.

3. come/ draw to a close 渐近结束
They successfully achieved an agreement when the meeting came to a close.
