英語中交通方式的表達方法：
1、用“by+交通工具”表示交通方式。如：by bike, by bus, by car , by plane , by train , by subway 等。但是，“步行”用on foot , 而不是by foot.
例句：They go to school by subway every day .
他們每天乘地鐵去上學。
注意：by後面的交通工具名詞是單數，而且名詞前面不能加任何修飾詞。
2、用"take a +交通工具”表示交通方式。如：take a bus , take a train , take a ship , 但“騎自行車”要用ride a bike 來表示。
例句：Mr . Smith often takes a train to work .
史密斯先生常坐火車去上班。
3、用某些動詞短語來表示交通方式。如：walk to:步行去；drive to :開車去；ride to :騎馬/車去；fly to :乘 飛機去等。
注意：如果後面接地點副詞here , there , home 等，介詞to應省去。
例句：I walk to school . You can drive there .
我步行去學校。你們可以開車去那兒。
4、用"by+水、陸、空等”來表示交通方式。
如：by water :從水路；by land :經陸路；by sea :經海路；by air:乘飛機等。
例句：We went to beijing by air this summer holiday .
今年暑假我們坐飛機去北京了。
5． in/on + 表示交通工具的名詞 , 或泛指或特指“乘/坐某種交通工具”，其中名詞前常有冠詞、物主代詞、指示代詞或名詞所有格等修飾語，名詞可以是單數或複數。
① bus，train，boat，plane，ship等有廂，有艙的,有平臺的名詞前，常用介詞on。如：
We are going there on a bus.我們將乘公共汽車去那裡。（泛指）
Don't come here on the ship．不要坐船來這裡。（特指）
② bike或motorbike前，只能用介詞on。如：
They go to work on their bikes.他們騎自行車上班。（特指）
She went out on her new motorbike. 她騎著她的新摩托車出去了。（特指）
③ car，taxi前，多用介詞in。如：
We are going to France in John’s car.我們將坐約翰的車去法國。（特指）
