今天聊聊hand，很简单常见的一个词，也是很有用的词，但用得好可不简单。
马上要开学了，家长们又要为孩子的学习操心忙乱了。一个寒假过去，They are getting out of hand 他们几乎要失控了，回到学校，回到老师身边，They'll be in safe hands again又有可靠的人来管教他们了，They no longer have a free hand doing whatever they want 不能随心所欲，他们自然觉得束手束脚，They might have a feeling they have their hands tied 但没办法，School is school! 学校就是学校，在老师手里家长们可以松口气了。Parents could give a big sigh of relief when kids are put into the firm hands of their teachers。
家长往往管不好自己的孩子，何也？太娇宠，太溺爱了！因为是亲生的，狠不下心，下不了手啊！不管家务多忙，也不会让孩子搭把手。Even you've your hands full with housework, you don't want your kids giving you a hand and getting their hands dirty. 他们对家长的心思也洞若观火，They know too well what you think. They know it like the back of their hands. 他们知道，即使闯了祸，犯了错，就算被抓了现行，爹妈也不能把他们怎么样，Parents will let them go even when they are caught red handed.
娇宠溺爱往往让他们有恃无恐，培养不出优秀的孩子。Children should be handled with an iron hand in a velvet glove。应该软硬兼施，两手都要硬，用革命的两手，对付“反革命”的两手。只有这样，你才能在与这帮熊孩子的战争中立于不败之地。You could gain the upper hand in the "battle" with your kids.
