今天，我们要讲的这一课跟other这个代词相关，在英语考试中即是重点，又是难点，因为组合都很相似，所以很容易混淆，没把他搞清楚，考试时一个头两个大。
other是一个不定代词。我们今天将会学到other的这些组合,：another, others, the other, the others
考点-不定代词 other, another, others, the other, the others
(1) other意为“别的，其余的”,指不确定的别的人或物。不可单独使用,后面需加名词。
例如：other books ；other people
Some students like English and other students like Chinese.（不可单独使用,后面需加名词。）
(2) another的用法
1）.三者或三者以上之中的另一个人或物。
She has three pens,two are green, another is red.
2）.在原来基础上增加一个。常修饰或代替单数名词。
I don't like this one, please show me another one.(个数模糊，强调增加了一个)
--注意:
another+数词+复数名词=数词+more+复数名词,表示“另外几个或再多几个”。如
another two days=two more days 再多两天，另外两天
(3) others= other+复数名词，无明确的范围，意为“其余的（人或物）”相当于一个名词。可以构成搭配some..., others...",表示,“一些......，其余的……”。
Some cleaned the windows, others mopped the floor. （ 这里的others，其实相当于other people。）
(4) the other指两者之中的另一个(特指剩下的那个)人或事物。可以构成搭配“one..., the other..."表示“一个......，有另一个......”。 the other也可接复数可数名词,表示“其余(他)所有的……”，这个初中阶段不常考。
例如：I don't like this one,please give me the other one.（这里强调的只有两个东西）
(5) the others= the other+复数名词，表示特定范围内除去一部分后剩下的全部，作主语时谓语动词用复数形式。
例如：I don't want these books . Please give me the other books.（the other books这里相当于the others, 强调的另外一部分，不常考。）
最后简单总结：
1.后不能单独使用的：other其他的
2.other+名词=others ：其他的人或事（不确定那部分人）
3.the others= the other+复数名词 ：其他的人或事（特指那部分人）
