閱讀完1984必定對動物莊園會提起興趣，1984構建的社會脫離不開人；但是動物莊園的整體框架的構建卻以動物為主體，但是其中的反諷力度卻不亞於1984。Orwell將貫穿於書籍的唯一隻boar稱作Napoleon可見他想要表達的一種主題；在1984書中社會通過塑造的一種精神象徵——老大哥，來左右人們的思想，在動物莊園中Napoleon則以Snowball為假想敵，不斷將在莊園發生的毀壞之事安放在消失了的Snowball上，說它跟原莊主Jone一隻在聯繫想著如何破壞莊園！從一開始動物們的一種疑惑，再通過各種手段讓大家的信服，在讀者看來可笑，但是對他們來說卻是災難的開始。
Napoleon took no interest in Snowball's committees. He said that the education of the young was more important than anything that could be done for those who were already grown up.

Clover warned him sometimes to be careful not to overstrain himself, but Boxer would never listen to her. His two slogans, "I will work harder" and "Napoleon is always right," seemed to him a sufficient answer to all problems.
不要以為看表面詞句，你會感覺到它很愚昧，我們需要深度思考，反映到現實生活中其實有時候自己是否也很容易被人左右自己的看法？自己是否對一個觀點還保留自己的一點質疑空間？這才是判斷自己是否有思考能力的時候。對於任何事件、消息、要充分的考慮事件的目的與出發點。到最後Boxer躺下時一部分是它終將老去的原因，或許也有一部分是它於晚年對於現行莊園的一種“糊塗”看不清，對於自己內心信仰的崩塌吧！
As Clover looked down the hillside her eyes filled with tears. If she could have spoken her thoughts, it would have been to say that this was not what they had aimed at when they had set themselves years ago to work for the overthrow of the human race. These scenes of terror and slaughter were not what they had looked forward to on that night when old Major first stirred them to rebellion. If she herself had had any picture of the future, it had been of a society of animals set free from hunger and the whip, all equal, each working according to his capacity, the strong protecting the weak, as she had protected the lost brood of ducklings with her foreleg on the night of Major's speech.

當原來牆上寫的 All animals are equal 變為 All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others 時，當所有的小豬接受獨立的教育長大時變成雙腿站立時，當幼狗長大時，當七大箴言完成更改時，那些後來進入莊園的動物只能相信時，或許這對於他們來說就是“真理”吧！
在當代社會發表任何言論變得很容易，你也很容易看到受到別人熱捧的觀點，但是你是否因為看到是有多人點贊你就從而趨同呢？要記住永遠要做一個有獨立思考能力的人。對或者不對是相對的，你相信與否取決於你，你信與不信原因何在是保持你想法的重要關鍵點；任何階段對世界的看法都來源於你的探索，保持Critical thinking！閱讀一些經典書籍則能夠促進我們的思考！

The animals now also learned that Snowball had never−as many of them had believed hitherto−received the order of "Animal Hero7 First Class." This was merely a legend which had been spread some time after the Battle of the Cowshed by Snowball himself. So far from being decorated, he had been censured for showing cowardice in the battle. Once again some of the animals heard this with a certain bewilderment, but Squealer was soon able to convince them that their memories had been at fault.
