中國拖拉機工業的起點以東方紅拖拉機的誕生為標誌。1958年，新中國第一臺東方紅大功率履帶拖拉機誕生；譚震林副總理莊嚴向世人宣佈:"中國人民耕地不用牛的時代終於來臨了"。上世紀80年代，東方紅8擋小四輪拖拉機在一拖誕生，並迅速帶動中國農機工業走出低谷，90年代，我國第一個國產大功率輪式拖拉機專業生產基地在一拖建成。
1997年，中國一拖集團依法設立了第一拖拉機股份有限公司，並在香港聯交所和上海證交所上市，是中國唯一擁有"A+H"上市平臺的農機企業。In the world of motor vehicles, Chinese tractors are gaining the favor of fans at home and abroad for their unique domineering appearance, multifunction, easy operation and powerful functions.
The starting point of China's tractor industry is marked by the birth of Dongfanghong tractor. In 1958, the first Dongfanghong high-power crawler tractor was born in New China. Vice Premier Tan Zhenlin solemnly announced to the world: "The time has finally come for the Chinese people to cultivate land without cattle". In the 1980s, Dongfanghong 8th-gear small four-wheel tractor was born in Yituo, and it rapidly drove China's agricultural machinery industry out of the trough. In the 1990s, China's first domestic high-power wheeled tractor specialized production base was built in Yituo.
In 1997, China yituo group established first tractor co., ltd. according to law and listed on the hong kong stock exchange and Shanghai stock exchange. it is the only agricultural machinery enterprise in China with "A+H" listing platform.
