get a start开始

work out 这个词组很好用,

1.work things out 意思:解决问题 work out 相当于一个及物动词

You know, get a start working things out.这句话字面是说你得开始解决问题。

剧中苏珊是指她妈妈应该和莫蒂化解矛盾。口语翻译一定要结合具体语境来翻译。

2.things work out 意思:“事情进展得顺利”,“问题得到解决” work out相当于一个不及物动词

Things didn't work .事情进展不顺利。

Things aren't working out for me. 事事不如意。

还记得勒纳特前面说的一句话吗

That works out so well when we do it.

我们用这招就挺管用的。

你指的是什么?

Susan: Well, you don't have a place to live. You don't like to work. I mean, you didn't want to marry Morty, so he doesn't have to pay you alimony. I- I- it's just if you don't go back to this man who allegedly据说 shoved you once in five years, what are your options?

Susan: Oh, I'm so sorry. Here lean your head back.

很抱歉,把头抬起来。

Sophie: I'm not saying permanently, just for a couple of years.

我没说一直住你那儿,只是暂时几年而已

Masseuse: You broke my nose.

你把我鼻子踢坏了。

Susan: No, no it's just banged a little.

没有,只是撞了一下。

Masseuse: Just go快走吧
