1.（摔倒后）站起来
I had a hard time getting back on my feet after I slipped on the ice.

3. 摆脱经济上窘迫的状况，经济上能独立，东山再起
Now that I've paid off my credit card debt, I'm finally back on my feet.

get a start开始
work out 这个词组很好用，
1.work things out 意思：解决问题 work out 相当于一个及物动词
You know, get a start working things out.这句话字面是说你得开始解决问题。
剧中苏珊是指她妈妈应该和莫蒂化解矛盾。口语翻译一定要结合具体语境来翻译。
2.things work out 意思:“事情进展得顺利”，“问题得到解决” work out相当于一个不及物动词
Things didn't work .事情进展不顺利。
Things aren't working out for me. 事事不如意。
还记得勒纳特前面说的一句话吗
That works out so well when we do it.
我们用这招就挺管用的。

Sophie: I'm not saying permanently, just for a couple of years.

Masseuse: You broke my nose.

Susan: No, no it's just banged a little.
