03.07 雅思口語第一部分如何得高分

Hi, I'm Oli. Welcome to Oxford Online English. In this lesson, you can learn about the IELTS speaking exam.

大家好,我是奧利,歡迎來到牛津在線英語。在這節課中,你們可以學到雅思口語考試的技巧。

The IELTS speaking test has three parts. In this class, you can learn about part one of the speaking exam in more detail, and how to improve your score.

雅思口語考試分為三個部分。在這節課上,你們可以學到口語考試第一部分的更多詳細內容,以及如何提高分數。

First, let's review what happens in part one of the IELTS speaking test. After you introduce yourself, the examiner will ask you some simple questions about one or two topics.

首先,我們來回顧一下雅思口語考試第一部分的內容。在你做完自我介紹後,考官會就一兩個話題問你一些簡單的問題。

Some common topics are: where you live, your job, your family, your free time, food, sports, and other simple things like this. Section one of the IELTS speaking test lasts four-five minutes.

一些常見的話題包括:你住的地方、工作、家庭、空餘時間、食物、運動和其他諸如此類的簡單事情。雅思口語考試第一部分的時長為四到五分鐘。

The examiner reads questions from a>

考官會把準備好的問題讀給你聽,所以這並不是討論的部分,只是問答。在這種視頻中,我們會看一些雅思口語考試問答部分的樣題,看看什麼樣的才是好答案。

Part one: The First Questions in IELTS Speaking At the beginning of the exam, the examiner will ask you some basic questions: What's your name? Where are you from? Can I see some identification, please?

第一部分:雅思口語第一問 在考試剛開始時,考官會問你一些基礎的問題:你叫什麼名字?你來自哪裡?能請你出示一下身份證明嗎?

These are easy questions, and they are the same in every IELTS exam. Use the start of the exam to get comfortable.

這些問題都很簡單,而且每一場雅思考試的題都是一樣的。好好利用考試開頭這段時間適應一下。

You might be nervous at the beginning of your IELTS speaking test. This is normal, but you need to try to relax.

在雅思口語考試剛開始時,你可能會覺得緊張。這很正常,但是你要努力放鬆。

If you're more relaxed, you'll speak better. So what can you do?

你越是放鬆,回答得就會越好。那麼你該怎麼辦呢?

Answer the examiner in full sentences. Don't say, "Berlin," say, "I'm from Berlin."

用完整的句子回答考官。回答時不要光說"Berlin",要說"I'm from Berlin."。

Don't say, "Andrew," say, "My name's Andrew Gray." Speak in a clear, confident voice and make eye contact with the examiner.

不要只說"Andrew",而要說"My name's Andrew Gray."。要清楚、自信地回答,要與考官有眼神交流。

Making a strong start will help you to feel more in control. This will help you to feel more confident speaking English in the exam.

強有力的開始能讓你感覺對局面更有掌控權。這會幫助你在考試中講英語時更有自信。

Part two: Speaking Fluently and Clearly After the opening questions, the examiner will ask you questions about one of the simple topics we saw earlier.

第二部分:清晰流暢地作答 開頭的問題結束後,考官會從我們之前看過的簡單話題中挑一個問你。

Let's start with a simple question: "Describe your hometown."We're going to look at three different answers.

我們從一個簡單的問題開始吧:"Describe your hometown"(請描述一下你的家鄉)。我會給你們看三個不同的回答。

In this section, you can see how you can speak more fluently and clearly. Ready? Answer number one: "I come from Moscow. It's a big city."

在這個部分,你可以看到自己如何才能說得更加流暢清晰。準備好了嗎?一號答案:“我來自莫斯科,那是一個大城市。”

What do you think? Is this a good answer? No, it isn't.

你們覺得怎麼樣?這個回答好嗎?不,不好。

It's too short, and there aren't any details. To get a score of 6 or 7 in IELTS, you need to speak at length.

這個回答太簡短了,而且一點詳細的內容都沒有。雅思要想考到6分或7分,回答問題時要詳細些。

You also need to use a wide range of vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation features. If you give a very short answer, you can't do any of these things.

還需要用到廣泛的詞彙、語法和發音特色。如果你只做簡短的回答,那麼以上任何一點都無法做到。

Remember, every question is a chance to show the examiner what you can do in English! Let's try again!

記住,每個問題都是你向考官展示你的英語能力的機會!我們再來試試吧!

Answer number two: "I'm from Moscow. As you may know, Moscow is the capital of Russia. I'm really proud of my city and I miss it when I'm not there.

二號答案:“我來自莫斯科。您或許也知道,莫斯科是俄羅斯的首都。我為我的城市感到非常自豪,身在異地時很想念它。

In my neighborhood, there are many cafes and parks where I like to hang out with friends in the evening." What about this one? It's better, right?

我家附近有很多咖啡館和公園,我很喜歡傍晚時和朋友們在那兒玩。”這個回答怎麼樣?比上一個好,對吧?

It's longer and it has lots of details. However, this answer isn't really answering the question.

這個回答更長,而且加入了很多細節。但是,這個回答有些答非所問。

The answer talks about how you feel about your hometown, and what you like doing there. The question asks you to describe your hometown, not say how you feel about it.

答案描述的是你對你家鄉的感覺,以及你喜歡在那兒做的事情。而題目是要求你描述你的家鄉,不是讓你說你對它的感覺。

This is a common problem. Many IELTS students know that they need to give longer answers, but it's also important to stay on topic.

這個問題很常見。很多考雅思的學生都知道他們需要作出詳細一些的回答,但是切題同樣也很重要。

You do need to develop your ideas. You do need to add details to your answers, but you also need to answer the question which the examiner asked.

你確實需要擴展你的想法。你確實需要在回答中加入細節,但你同樣也需要回答考官提出的問題。

You can't just talk about whatever comes into your head! OK, let's look at answer number three: "I come from Moscow.

不能當時腦子裡想到了什麼就說什麼。好了,我們來看看三號答案:“我來自莫斯科。

It's a very large city, and also the capital, so it's very busy and crowded. It's the kind of place where people always seem to be in a hurry.

那是一個很大的城市,也是首都,所以那裡非常繁忙擁擠。那裡的人們看上去總是很匆忙。

The center has a lot of historical buildings and monuments, while out of the center there are mostly just residential areas." This is the best answer. It's clear, detailed, and on-topic.

城市中心有很多名勝古蹟,市中心之外大部分都只是居民區。”這才是最佳回答,思路清晰、內容詳細並且非常切題。

Remember that you can pause the video and review the answers if you want. Okay. Part three: Using Vocabulary Effectively in Your Answers

別忘了,如果想再看一遍這些回答,你可以暫停一下視頻。第三部分:作答時有效使用詞彙

Let's look at another question: "Describe your home." This time, we'll look at two sample answers together.

我們來看另一個問題:"Describe your home"(描述一下你的家)。這一次我們總共有兩個答案範例。

Think about how the candidates use vocabulary, and which candidate does a better job. Answer number one: "I live in an apartment in a big building.

思考一下這些考生是如何用詞的,以及哪一位考生的回答更好。一號答案:"I live in an apartment in a big building.(我住在一棟大樓裡的一間公寓。)

My apartment has four rooms. There is a bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. The fourth room is a… um… I forgot the word in English."

My apartment has four rooms. There is a bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen.(我的公寓有四間房,一間臥室、一個客廳和一個廚房。)The fourth room is a… um… I forgot the word in English."(第四間房是......我忘了那個單詞用英語怎麼說了。)

Answer number two: "I live in a mid-sized apartment in a tower block. It has four rooms in total, with a tiny bedroom, an open-plan living room, and a dining area, and a kitchen.

二號答案:"I live in a mid-sized apartment in a tower block.(我住在一棟高層住宅樓裡的一間中等面積的公寓。)It has four rooms in total, with a tiny bedroom, an open-plan living room, and a dining area, and a kitchen.(總共有四間房:一間很小的臥室、一個開放式的客廳、一個餐廳和一個廚房。)

Then there's a… what's the word? Like an office, where I do some work or studying sometimes."

Then there’s a… what’s the word? (然後還有一個......那個詞是什麼來著?)Like an office, where I do some work or studying sometimes."(就像辦公室一樣,我有時候會在那兒工作或學習。)

Which answer do you think is better? I hope it was obvious, the second answer is much better.

你覺得哪個回答更好呢?很明顯,第二個回答要好得多。

What makes this answer better? Well. . . the use of vocabulary is much better in the second answer.

這個回答為什麼更好呢?第二個回答中使用的詞彙要好很多。

The first candidate lives in a big building. The second lives in a tower block.

第一個考生說他住在"big building"(大樓)裡。第二個說他住在"tower block"(高層住宅樓)裡。

This is much more specific. The second candidate also uses a lot of adjectives, like mid-sized, tiny or open-plan, while the first candidate doesn't add any description.

顯然第二個考生的回答更為具體。第二個考生還用了很多形容詞,比如"mid-sized", "tiny", "open-plan",而第一位考生沒有進行任何形容。

Using a variety of vocabulary can make your answer clearer and more descriptive. This helps your score. Both candidates forget a word, but the second candidate deals with it much better.

使用多樣化的詞彙能使你的回答更為清晰,描述更為生動,這對提高分數大有裨益。兩位考生都出現了忘詞的情況,但第二位考生應對得更好。

The first candidate just gives up and says "I don't know the word", while the second candidate finds a way to explain the word and explain the meaning. You don't need a perfect vocabulary to get a good score in the IELTS exam.

第一位考生直接就放棄了,說:“我不知道那個單詞”,而第二位考生想辦法對這個詞進行了解釋,說明了它的意思。並不是擁有完美的詞彙量才能在雅思考試中取得高分。

If you don't know a word, don't panic, and don't give up. Try to find other words or phrases which have a similar meaning.

有單詞不會也不要慌,不要放棄。想辦法找到意思相近的其他單詞或短語代替。

When preparing for your IELTS exam, think about the topics which can appear in part one. Learn some more advanced or interesting vocabulary you could use for each topic.

在備考雅思時,可以想想第一部分可能會出現的話題。學一些在各個話題中能用上的更高級或有趣的詞。

For example, learn and practice ten words to describe your home, ten words to describe your hometown, ten words to talk about your hobbies, and so on. Part four: Improving Your Grammar Score in Part One of the IELTS Speaking Exam

比如學習並練習十個描述家的詞,十個描述家鄉的詞,十個談論興趣愛好的詞等等。第四部分:提高雅思口語考試第一部分的語法分

Let's look at our third sample question: "What do you like doing in your free time?" We'll look at three sample answers.

我們來看看第三個樣題:"What do you like doing in your free time?"(你在業餘時間喜歡幹什麼?)我會給你們看三個回答範例。

This time, we're going to focus on grammar. Think about how these candidates use grammar.

這一次,我們要關注的是語法。思考一下這些考生是如何使用語法的。

Answer number one: "I have a lot of different hobbies. What I do depends on my mood. For example, if I'm feeling energetic, I like to play basketball or go jogging.

一號答案:"I have a lot of different hobbies. What I do depends on my mood.(我有很多不同的愛好,我做什麼一般取決於當時的心情。)For example, if I’m feeling energetic, I like to play basketball or go jogging.(舉個例子,如果我感覺精力充沛,就喜歡打籃球或者去慢跑。)

If I want to relax, I read a book or cook something. I find cooking very relaxing." What do you think? Good answer?

If I want to relax, I read a book or cook something. I find cooking very relaxing."(如果我想放鬆一下,就看書或下廚,我覺得做飯非常讓人放鬆。)你覺得怎麼樣?這個回答好嗎?

Yes, it is. It's very good, it's clear, and the candidate has mixed shorter and longer sentences. There aren't any grammar mistakes. It's a really good answer.

是的,沒錯,這個回答非常好,非常清晰,而且這個考生把長短句搭配起來用了。沒有語法錯誤,這個回答非常棒。

However, most IELTS candidates can't use grammar perfectly, and they make mistakes when they speak. Let's look at two more answers which might be more realistic for you if you're planning to take IELTS in the near future.

但是,大部分雅思考生都無法完美地運用語法,說話時出現錯誤在所難免。我們再來看兩個回答,如果你打算不久以後就參加雅思考試,這些對你來說可能更實際。

So, answer number two: "I have lot of hobbies. I'm doing different things depending on what's my mood.

二號答案:"I have lot of hobbies.(我有很多愛好。)I’m doing different things depending on what’s my mood.(心情不同,我做的事情也不一樣。)

For example, if I am very energy, I will play basketball or go to jogging. If I want to relaxation, I read some books or cook something.

For example, if I am very energy, I will play basketball or go to jogging.(舉個例子,如果我精力充沛就會打籃球或慢跑。)If I want to relaxation, I read some books or cook something.(如果我想放鬆,就會看些書或煮點東西。)

Cooking is relaxing to me." Answer number three: "I have many hobbies.

Cooking is relaxing to me."(做飯對我來說很放鬆。)三號答案:"I have many hobbies.(我有很多愛好。)

Sometimes I play basketball or go jogging. Sometimes I read or cook. Cooking is relaxing."

Sometimes I play basketball or go jogging. (有時候我會打籃球或慢跑。)Sometimes I read or cook. Cooking is relaxing."(有時候我會看書或做飯。做飯很放鬆。)

Remember, we're focusing on grammar. Which answer do you think is better?

記住,我們關注的是語法。你覺得哪個回答更好?

It might surprise you that answer number two is better than number three, even though there are many, many grammar mistakes in the second answer. In the third answer, there are no grammar mistakes.

你可能會覺得很驚訝,但第二個回答雖然有很多很多語法錯誤,但它還是好過第三個回答。雖然在第三個回答中一個語法錯誤都沒有。

What's going on? How can an answer with lots of mistakes be better than an answer with no mistakes?

怎麼回事?有很多錯誤的答案怎麼會比沒有錯誤的答案更好呢?

First, the second candidate at least tries to use more complex sentences. The third candidate uses very short, simple sentences.

第一,起碼第二位考生盡力用了一些更復雜的句子。而第三位考生使用的都是非常短,非常簡單的句子。

This is an interesting point: in IELTS, trying and failing, or partly succeeding, is better than not trying at all. The third candidate is trying to stay safe, by only using grammar which he/she knows, but this is not the best idea.

在雅思考試中,盡力然後失敗或者獲得部分成功好過於壓根沒有盡力嘗試,這一點很有意思。第三位考生以安全為上,只用了他(她)知道的語法,但這並不是最好的辦法。

Secondly, the second answer is clear. There are lots of grammar mistakes, but the mistakes don't make it difficult to understand.

第二,第二個回答非常清晰。第二個回答中確實存在很多語法錯誤,但是這些錯誤並不妨礙對句意的理解。

This is another important point: in the IELTS exam, mistakes which don't affect your meaning are not such a big problem. I should say now, this is only true if you are aiming for a score of 6.0 to 7.0.

在雅思考試中,不影響意思的錯誤算不上非常嚴重的問題,這又是很重要的一點。但是我要說的是,如果你只是衝著6-7分的成績去的話,這一點是沒錯的。

If you need to get 7.5 or higher, then you need to speak accurately, without grammar mistakes, like the first candidate. However, this is not true for many IELTS students, especially students I meet.

但如果你需要達到7.5分及以上,那麼你作答時就要保證準確性,不能出現語法錯誤,第一位考生就是很好的例子。但這並不適用於很多考雅思的學生,尤其是我遇到的學生。

Most people need a score in the 6.0-7.0 range. If this is what you need, you don't need perfect grammar, just like you don't need perfect vocabulary.

大部分人需要的分數都在6-7分之間。如果你也只需要這樣的成績,那麼你在語法方面並不需要做到十全十美,就像你不需要完美的詞彙量一樣。

You need to use what you know to communicate clearly. That's much more important.

你只需要用你知道的內容把意思表達清楚就行。這一點更為重要。

So, if you know that your grammar is not perfect, it's better to try to speak fluently and express yourself clearly. You can still get a good score in the IELTS speaking test.

所以,如果你知道自己的語法並不完美,那麼你最好做到講話流暢,表達清晰。這樣你還是可以在雅思口語考試中拿到不錯的分數。

Okay. Part five: Review Let's go over what we've talked about today.

好了,第五部分:複習 我們來複習一下今天講過的內容。

To get a higher score in part one of the IELTS speaking test, you need to give longer, more detailed answers without going off-topic. You need to use a range of vocabulary to make your answers more descriptive.

要在雅思口語考試第一部分中得到高分,你需要在不跑題的前提下給出較長、更為詳細的回答。你需要使用大量的詞彙以使自己的回答更為形象。

You need to find a way to express yourself even if you don't know a word. You need to try to use some longer, more grammatically complex sentences even if you make some mistakes.

你要想辦法做到在不知道單詞怎麼說的情況下也能表達自己的意思。即使會出錯,你也要試著使用一些更長、語法上更為複雜的句子。

Think about the questions we looked at today: "Describe your hometown.", "Describe your home.", "What do you do in your free time?" Think about how you could answer these questions in the IELTS exam.

想一想我們今天看過的這些問題:“請描述一下你的家鄉”,“請描述一下你的家”,“你在空餘時間會做什麼?”。想一想你在參加雅思考試時會如何回答這些問題。

What details could you add? What vocabulary could you use? If you want, you can leave your answers in the video comments, and we'll give you feedback.

想一想你能加上哪些細節,可以使用哪些單詞。你可以在視頻的評論區寫下你的回答,我們會給你回覆的。
