一詞多義顧名思義就是一個單詞有多種含義，隨著英語學習的推進和升級，大家除了按要求掌握大綱單詞的基礎意思和用法外，實際還應嘗試積累常見單詞的擴展含義。避免出現看似能夠輕易拼寫的單詞，卻又無法準確識別這些單詞在某些場景下的具體含義。
有如下典型單詞：right，這或許是大家較早接觸的一詞多義實例，它的常見意思有四個：正確(的)、右邊(的)。不過，right還有如下相對常用的意思：權利（名詞），直接的（形容詞），恰當地（副詞），糾正（動詞）。譬如：All have the right to speak. 大家都有權發言。Please give me one more chance to right my mistakes. 請再給我一次糾正錯誤的機會。

1. About
◆ (prep.)關於：I know nothing about this. 關於這件事我毫不知情。
◆ (adv.)大約：The toy costs about $2. 這玩具大約要2美元。
2. Bear
◆ (n.)熊：He saw a bear near the river. 他在河邊看到一隻熊。
