In a bid to better serve the local industrial development, Chengdu's Wenjiang district launched a one-stop service center for streamlining administrative examination and approval procedures, making it the first of its kind in Sichuan province.
Covering an area of about 400 square meters, the service center has six staff members dealing with business registration, issuing pharmaceutical business licenses and permission for medical agencies in Chengdu Medical City, a gatherer of companies active in R & D and production of high-end medicine and medical equipment.
It makes the registration procedures more convenient for startups and the whole procedure can be carried out online, greatly shortening registration duration.
In the past, it took about 22.9 days for a company to go through the process of registration and opening up. The State Council demanded that it be compressed to 8.5 days from this May. In response to the demand, the administrative examination and approval bureau of Wenjiang district discussed with different government departments and shortened the time down to two days.
"It is much more convenient that we can apply and receive business license in just two days," said Su Hong, a manager at Sichuan Lyuzhikang Biotech Co Ltd.
Meanwhile, the center also provides consulting services on laws and regulations, local policies and other business information.
