FAR与14CFR

《美国联邦法规》(Code of Federal Regulations,简称CFR)是美国联邦政府执行机构和部门在 "联邦公报" (Federal Register,简称FR)中发表与公布的一般性和永久性规则的集成，具有普遍适用性和法律效应。

CFR共50篇（title），部分有章（subtitle），分别代表联邦法规的各个领域；每章中有若干节（chapter），各节通常以法规颁发机构的名称为标题，有的节还分为分节（subchapter）；每一节中包含特定的法规领域的若干部分（Part），有的部分由于内容多，又分为子部分（subpart）。每一部分由包含具体法规的若干小节（section）组成。 由此可见，CFR的层次有篇、章、节、分节、部分、子部分、小节。

由下可以看出，Title 14: Aeronautics and Space是航空航天相关的规定

根据44 U.S.C. 1510的规定， CFR每年至少补充、重新核对出版一次。通常，CFR的修订本公布顺序为：

目前， Title 14主要包括以下五个章节的内容，其中第一章(Chapter I)包括parts 1-199,为航空相关的法规, 所以FAR主要是指14 CFR chapter I 的内容，FAR是CFR Title 14的一部分，

也就是14CFR Parts 1-199的内容。但是由于Title 48 是Federal Acquisition Regulation,缩写也是FAR，为了避免混淆，因此，FAA经常写成 "14CFR Part XX".

那么，14CFR parts 1-199中，哪几个章节是民航运输机维修设计经常使用到的呢？ 主要有以下几个：

Part 21：Certification procedures for products and parts

Part 25: Airworthiness standards: Transport category airplanes

Part 39：Airworthiness Directives

Part 43: Maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, and alteration

Part 65: Certification: Airmen other than flight crewmembers

Part 91: General operating and flight rules

Part 121: Certification and operations: domestic, flag, and supplemental air carriers and commercial operators of large aircraft

Part 145: Repair Stations

Part 147: Aviation maintenance technician schools.
