微軟今年對 Windows 部門進行了重大重組，Windows 平臺團隊和 Azure 部門有更深入的整合。Windows 代號方面，消息稱 Windows 10 19H1 之後版本將開始使用 Azure 部門的代號命名規則：採用化學元素。
Azure 部門目前是用化學元素週期表來命名更新代號，Azure 對應 19H1 代號是 Titantium。預計 Windows 10 19H2 將開始使用 Vanadium，之後為避免和 Chromium 衝突，命名會是 Vibranium（漫威漫畫中的振金）。
目前為止，Windows 10 代號如下：
- Threshold 1: Windows 10/1507
- Threshold 2: Windows 10 November Update/1511
- Redstone 1: Windows 10 Anniversary Update/1607
- Redstone 2: Windows 10 Creators Update/1703
- Redstone 3: Windows 10 Fall Creators Update/1709
- Redstone 4: Windows 10 April 2018 Update/1803
- Redstone 5: Windows 10 October 2018 Update/1809
- 19H1: Windows 10 April 2019 Update/1903 (?)
Surface 團隊也開始使用化學元素相關名詞來命名代號，最新的設備代號是 Caprock、Croton 和 Forks，對應的元素是 Ca、Cr 和 F。
