中國空間站擬於2019年發射，2022年開始作業，將是世界上第一個向各國開放合作的空間站。
據稱，中國的這一空間站，被視為是俄羅斯正在軌道運行的和平號國際空間站的競爭對手。
有中國分析人士稱，到2024年，中國空間站將是唯一在運行的空間站，和平號空間站到時候將達到壽命期限。

When they were building the islands in the SCS they first said that they were for fishing, then they promised it won''t be militarised. They broke their promise and it is now fully militarised. They will do the same with their space station. They never keep to their word. They look for any excuse to break their promises.
