“民国帆船币”俗称“船洋”,这枚民国钱币与中国民主革命伟大先行者孙中山有着密切的关系。作为中国近代民族民主主义革命的开拓者,孙中山发起、领导的辛亥革命彻底推翻了中国封建王朝统治,并在辛亥革命后被推举为中华民国临时大总统,在历史上留下不可磨灭的功勋。为了让世人铭记孙中山先生的丰功伟绩,在民国时期,铸造发行了镌有孙中山先生头像各种版式的银币。“船洋”是民国政府在1933年和1934年间铸造的,整币通体为雪花银铸造。
