這是一封來自十年後的信件——
This is a letter from ten years into the future
假如，武漢也有快進鍵……
If Wuhan had a fast forward button……
Hi
現在是2030年
It’s 2030
又是一個早春三月
Another early spring
此刻，窗外晨光初露
At this moment, rays of morning light are shining through the window
早櫻已綴上枝頭，遠望如雪
Cherry blossoms look like snow
正如十年前大家常說的那樣
As everyone said ten years ago
沒有一個冬天不可逾越
There is no insurmountable winter
又一個春天，如約而至
Another spring has come as expected
這十年來
In the past ten years
時常回望那段 武漢被按下暫停鍵的日子
I often look back at the days when Wuhan’s pause button was pressed
一段 讓人忽然長大的日子
Days when we suddenly grew up
我記得那些逝去的生命
I remember those lost lives
那些深夜裡無聲的哭泣
And the silent sobbing on late nights
在那個冬天
In that winter
我一下子懂得
It dawned on me
原來，人會如此脆弱
That human beings can be so fragile
原來，失去可以來得這麼急
That losses can happen so fast
我也記得那些英雄的背影
I also remember the backs of those heroes
逆著人流的方向行進
Going against the human flow
匆忙，卻堅毅
Hurriedly, but with resolution
但那段日子 我才發現
I realized in those days
英雄與浪漫無關
That heroes have nothing to do with romance
他們只是在被需要的時候
站了出來，走向前去
They just step forward when needed
我更記得那段日子
I remember better the footprints those days have left
在歷史長河中留下的印記
On the long history of humankind
一場危機到來
When a crisis comes
既有“山川異域，風月同天”的情誼
There is not only friendship that transcends borders
也曾有歧視與冷漠的傷害
But also harm caused by discrimination and apathy
但沒關係
But it doesn’t matter
有一點已被時間證明
One thing has been proven by time
中國的犧牲、努力和貢獻
China’s sacrifices, efforts and contributions
護衛了家園
Protected its homeland
也為世界贏得了經驗
And gained experience for the world
人，真的可以在一夜之間長大
A person can really grow up overnight
生與死
Life and death
苦與樂
Bitterness and happiness
求真 敬畏
Truth and awe
責任 堅守
Responsibility and persistence
奮鬥 希望
Struggle and hope
這些好像很遙遠的詞
These seemingly distant words
都在那段日子 變得無比真切 清晰
Became indescribably real and clear in those days.
後來的十年裡
In the next ten years
我走過許多地方
I’ve traveled to many places
為了 不負成長 不負期望
In order to grow and to live up to expectations
世界也在前行 朝著更好的方向
The world is also advancing, in a better direction
敬畏自然 尊重生命
With awe for nature and respect for life
醫學進步 科技昌明
Medical science is progressing and technology flourishing
這個星球上
On this planet
友善變得更多 冷漠在減少
Friendliness has been growing and apathy declining
因此，今天的我
Therefore, today
很想對十年前的你說一聲謝謝
I would like to say “thank you” to the you from ten years ago
謝謝你在焦慮與恐懼中沒有輕言放棄
Thank you for not giving up in anxiety and fear!
謝謝你在遠離校園時沒有讓光陰溜走
Thank you for not letting your time slip away while being far away from campus!
謝謝你在苦難中始終相信光亮
Thank you for always believing in light when facing hardships!
更謝謝你從“武漢的孩子”，向著“中國的少年、世界的少年”倔強生長
Thank you for having grown strongly from “a child of Wuhan” into “a teen of China” and “a teen of the World”!
有人說
Some say
瀑布之所以成為奇觀，
Waterfalls are wonders
是因為它有絕處求生的勇氣
Because they have the courage to survive a dire situation
人生，又何嘗不是如此
Life is in no way different
因此
So
請你一定一定相信
Please, please believe
你所經歷的一切
Everything you have gone through
都會變成有意義的生長
Will become meaningful growth
2020年你所經歷的一切，已經融入未來，改變人生的走向
Everything you experienced in 2020 has been integrated into the future, and changed the course of life.
十年後，你會變成我
In ten years’ time, you will become me
你會看到
You will see
人間山河 已恢復模樣
Mountains and rivers have regained their looks
武漢的春天
So has the spring in Wuhan
依舊 江水團團 櫻花漫天
Where rivers flow and cherries blossom
更重要的是
More importantly
你已經變得更好
You have gotten better
這就是我們相信的 時間的力量
This is the power of time we believe in
給每個選擇勇敢的你
To everyone who chose to be brave
