大清铜币，学名清代机制铜圆，钱面中央有“大清铜币”四个汉字，内嵌一小字代表地名，上端是满文“大清铜币”字样，两侧为年份。边缘中间分别“户部”二汉字，下端为“当制钱十文”。钱背中央为蟠龙，上端是“光绪(或宣统)年造”，下端英文“Tai-Ching Ti-Kuo Copper Coin”字样(大清帝国铜币)。
各地铸造比较统一。铸造始于1900年（清光绪二十六年），止于1911年（宣统三年），流通时间较短。因其版面设计优雅，雕刻精良，且存世量极为稀少，大清铜币光绪年户部造当十被誉为中国近代制币中的十大名誉品之一。

丁未纪年大清铜币(此时天津户部造币总厂更名为度支部造币总厂)。清宣统元年(1909年)铸己酉大清宣统年造大清铜币。宣统二年四月，度支部奏定《币制则例》废两改元，确定国币单位名称为“元”，以银为本位，一元为主币，重库平七钱二分。另以五角、二角五分、一角三种银币，五分镍币及二分、一分、五厘、一厘四种铜币为辅币。宣统三年天津度支部造币总厂开铸二分、一分五厘、一厘新式铜元外，还铸有纪值文字分别为二十文、十文、五文、二文、一文新式铜元。其中二十文、十文有红铜、白铜两种，五文仅红铜一种，二文、一文铜元按币中央有无凿孔，分为有穿和无穿两大类。此枚十文白铜钱，当为宣统三年天津度支部造币总厂所铸。
