《雨巷》是中國詩人戴望舒1927年創作的一首現代詩。寫於1927年夏天，當時全國正處於白色恐怖之中，戴望舒因曾參加進步活動而不得不避居於松江的友人家中，在孤寂中咀嚼著大革命失敗後的幻滅與痛苦，心中充滿了迷惘的情緒和朦朧的希望。《雨巷》一詩就是他的這種心情的表現，其中交織著失望和希望、幻滅和追求的雙重情調。這種情懷在當時是有一定的普遍性的。

撐著油紙傘，獨自
I wander along a long
彷徨在悠長，悠長
Solitary lane in the rain,
又寂寥的雨巷，
Hoping to encounter
我希望逢著
A girl like a bouquet of lilacs
一個丁香一樣的
Gnawed by anxiety and resentment.
結著愁怨的姑娘。
A girl
她是有
The color of lilacs,
丁香一樣的顏色，
The fragrance of lilacs,
丁香一樣的芬芳，
The worries of lilacs,
丁香一樣的憂愁，
Feeling melancholy in the rain,
在雨中哀怨， 哀怨又彷徨。
Plaintive and hesitating.
她彷徨在這寂寥的雨巷， 撐著油紙傘
Silently she comes closer,
像我一樣 像我一樣地冷漠，悽清，又惆悵。
Closer, giving me
她默默地走近 走近，又投出，
A glance like a sigh,
太息一般的眼光，
Then she floats past
她飄過
Like a dream,
像夢一般地
Dreary and blank like a dream.
像夢一般地悽婉迷茫。

像夢中飄過
Floating past in a dream,
一枝丁香的，
the girl floats past me；
我身旁飄過這女郎；
Silently she goes further and further,

In the mournful melody of the rain,
在雨的哀曲裡，
