1.would rather do sth.
①I would rather eat breakfast in a restaurant. 我寧願在餐館吃早飯。
②I would rather walk to school.
我寧願步行去學校。
2.would rather do than do sth.
I would rather watch TV than do my homework我寧願看電視也不做家庭作業。
3.would do rather than do sth.
I would stay at home rather than go out.
我寧願呆在家裡也不願外出。
4.would rather sb. did/had done sth.
I would rather Dad took me to visit the Great Wall. 我寧願爸爸帶我去參觀長城。
5.prefer to do sth.
He prefer to travel abroad alone.
他寧願獨自一人去國外旅遊。
6.prefer doing sth to doing sth.
Mom prefer watching TV to going dancing.
媽媽寧願看電視也不去跳舞。
7.prefer to do sth rather than do sth.
Dad prefer to stay at home and watch TV rather than go out and drink with his friends .爸爸寧願呆在家裡看電視也不願外出和他的朋友們喝酒。
特別提示: would rather 後接從句，從句要用虛擬語氣，敘述與現在事實相反的情況，謂語動詞用過去式(be用were);敘述與過去事實相反的情況，謂語動詞用had done。
