L醬曾經給大家介紹過讀書報告的幾種常見類型和文章結構，今天，L醬就為大家來詳解如何寫一篇優秀的書評。
Title and Author
一篇書評中，最重要的部分，就是你閱讀的書的書名和作者。我們通常把這部分放在書評的第一句話或第一段中，用一兩句話來介紹這篇讀書報告或書評所介紹的圖書的書名和作者。
Summary
簡單介紹了書名和作者之後，接下來我們需要對這本書的內容做簡要介紹，讓書評的讀者瞭解這本書的梗概。這要求學生熟練掌握和使用"總結"這種閱讀策略。
不同類型圖書的總結方法也不相同，Fiction類圖書和Nonfiction類圖書書評中的總結方法各異，我們可以使用下面的幾種方法來寫作書評中的總結段落。
Ficiton類圖書：對於Fiction類圖書，我們可以使用 Story Map 對文本內容進行總結。我們可以記錄這些故事元素：Setting; Beginning, Middle, End (or Problem & Resolution); Main Characters 並從中獲取關鍵信息，整理成一個完整簡潔的句子作為對圖書內容的總結。
以 Goldilocks and the Three Bears 這本書為例，我們可以根據故事元素來做這樣的總結：A blond girl entered a house in the woods where she broke furniture, ate cereal, and took a nap. When the bear homeowners returned, the little girl ran away.
除此以外，我們還可以使用 "Somebody - Wanted - But - So - Then" 這種方式來總結Fiction類圖書。例如：The aliens wanted underpants but the mom came outside to get the laundry so they zoomed back to space.
Nonfiction類圖書：對於Nonfiction類圖書，我們可以使用 graphic organizer 或思維導圖來整理和組織重要信息，並根據這些信息來進行總結。例如：Each strata of the rainforest is home to diverse animals, from the upper canopy to the lower forest floor.
"Somebody - Wanted - But - So - Then" 方法也適用於非虛構類圖書，我們可以對關鍵詞進行簡單修改
"Something - Happened - And - Then" 以適應Nonfiction類圖書。例如：The hurricane destroyed the small village and made it difficult for residents to get clean water and shelter. Analysis
在對圖書內容進行簡單介紹之後，我們需要在讀書報告或書評中寫下自己對這本書的看法，可以是對圖書的簡單評價 (Do you like the book? Why?)，或者是對圖書主題、背景、寫作風格等更深刻內容的分析 (What is the book's theme?)。
在分析段落中，我們可以從以下這些問題出發對圖書進行分析：
★ Did you like this book?
★ Could you relate to something in the character's life?
★ Did the book teach you anything?
★ What made the book difficult or interesting?
★ What surprised you and why?
★ What do you know now that you didn't know before?
★ Would you read another book by this author?
★ What motivated the main character?
★ How did the main character change throughout the story?
★ Talk about author's craft. What about the writing was notable?
★ What was the symbolism in the book?
★ What wisdom did older characters impart to younger ones?
Examples from the Text
在前面的分析段落中闡述了觀點之後，我們還需要闡明自己為什麼這樣認為。 在這個段落中，我們可以引用書中的內容來支撐我們的觀點，或者用我們自己的語言來解釋支持觀點的理由。
需要注意的是，如果直接引用書中的內容，我們需要在引用部分加上引號，並標註引文的出處頁碼，例如："But wherever these friends of mine are — that's my home." (p.480)
Conclusion
在讀書報告或書評的結尾，我們需要用一句或幾句話對整篇文章進行總結。例如，我們可以在結尾闡明自己閱讀這本書的收穫，是否會向其他人推薦這本書，為什麼？如果篇幅允許，我們還可以為其他讀者提出一些具體的閱讀建議。
