一、句子的基本句型

所有的長難句都是基於基本句型的基礎上變化的，所以要想破解長難句需要先了解基本句型：

（1）主+謂

（2）主+謂+賓

（3）主+謂+賓1+賓2

（4）主+謂+賓+賓補

（5）主+系+表

二、“三步法”破解長難句

這就是今天準備教給大家的“三步法”！

1、斷開句子

2. 找到主句（主幹）

3、 簡化句子

三、小試牛刀

例句1:

Since the dawn of human ingenuity, people have devised ever more cunning tools to cope with work that is dangerous, boring, burdensome, or just plain nasty. （2002）

1、斷句：

依據： 標點符號； 關係連接詞

（1）Since the dawn of human ingenuity

（2）people have devised ever more cunning tools to cope with work

（3）that is dangerous, boring, burdensome, or just plain nasty.

2、找到主句

判斷：這是一個主從複合句， 先找到主句。

經過分析，（1）是狀語， （2）是主句， （3）是定語從句

3、去修飾，簡化句子

( Since..., ) people have devised tools

參考譯文：從初具創造力時起，人類就一直在設計日益靈巧的工具來應對那些危險、枯燥、繁重或只是令人不快的工作。

例句2：

It’s hard to imagine that many people are dumb enough to want children just because Reese and Angelina make it look so glamorous: most adults understand that a baby is aircut. (2011)

1、斷句：

依據： 標點符號； 關係連接詞

（1）It’s hard to imagine

（2）that many people are dumb enough to want children

（3）just because Reese and Angelina make it look so glamorous

（4）most adults understand that a baby is not a haircut.

2、找到主句

判斷：這是一個主從複合句， 先找到主句。

經過分析，（1）是主句， （2）是賓語從句， （3）是原因狀語從句

（4）同位語從句

3、去修飾，簡化句子

It’s hard to imagine (that...) just ( because...) : most adults understand

參考譯文：很難想象，很多人會愚蠢到僅僅因為瑞茜和安吉利娜使養育孩子這事兒看上去光鮮迷人就想要小孩：多數成年人都明白，養孩子可不像剪頭髮那樣簡單。

例句3：

We’re doing these things because we know they help people stay off benefits and help those on benefits get into work faster. （2014）

1、斷句：

依據： 標點符號； 關係連接詞

(1) We’re doing these things

(2) because we know

(3) they help people stay off benefits

(4) and help those on benefits get into work faster.

2、找到主句

判斷：這是一個主從複合句， 先找到主句。

經過分析，（1）是主句，（2）原因狀語從句，（3）和（4）是（2）裡面並列的兩個賓語從句

3、去修飾，簡化句子

We’re doing these things （because we know A and B ）

參考譯文：我們做這些事情，因為我們知道它們能幫助人們遠離救濟金，而且幫助那些得到救濟金的人更快找到工作。
