<strong>現在讓我們說一些題外話。在社會上混了很多年以後，你有沒有感到想過一種無憂無慮的生活？住在校園，寺院，世外桃源等等怎麼樣？假設你在校園邂逅了一位美女又弄掉了她的筆記本，你很可能會幸災樂禍然後幫她撿起筆記本。在那個瞬間，你可能匆匆瞥了一眼又記住了筆記本封面上她的名字。之後，你想方設法找到了她的宿舍，知道了她的愛好，又買了一本詞典給她。下一次，當你在走廊偶遇她而裝作沒看見，她開始主動和你打招呼，她甚至想用代替磚頭的詞典拍你......哇，你不得不承認美女抱著一本詞典是多麼有吸引力的樣子，被她拍到甚至拍倒也值了！詞典是多麼強大！你喜歡吃冰磚，切片面包，豆腐等等嗎？它們和詞典一樣都是長方體，都很酷。不但外形會讓你為之傾倒，內容也是。
<strong>Generally speaking,on the basis of my long-term exprience in English study,I recommend the Merriam-Webster,Oxford,Collins,Longman English-Chinese double definition dictionary.You'd better choose their subcategories according to your level and interest.The each of the four types above-mentioned has its own merits.Collins' toward British style has the most native and complete example sentences.Oxford's toward British style has the most authoritative,rigorous and comprehensive definitions.Longman's toward British style has the most useful and common collocations and definitions.Also the gradation of word frequency in Longman is helpful for improving step by step.Merriam-Webster's which is inclined to American style has the most standard American phonetic symbol and slang.Besides,they have many more advantages waiting for you to discover.In terms of Chinese-English dictionary,the series come out directly from the Commercial Press are not bad,nevertheless I still don't advise you to focus on it more than English-Chinese dictionary.Many of the English definitions corresponding to the Chinese words are not native enough and neither of the example sentences.A lot of Chinese scholars and professors keep on using them regardless of the stiffness is a result of Chinglish epidemic now.As an English lover,I anticipate the publication of more natural and native Chinese-English dictionary.Even I am willing to contribute to the compilation of it.The so-called best one is not necessarily suitable for you,the most suitable one for you will be the best.
<strong>總體來講，根據我在英語領域長期學習的經驗，我推薦麥林韋氏，牛津，柯林斯，朗文英漢雙解詞典。你最好根據你的水平和興趣選擇它們的子類別。上文提到的四種各有千秋。有點傾向於英式的柯林斯擁有最地道和最完整的例句。傾向於英式的牛津擁有最權威，最嚴謹和最全面的釋義。傾向於英式的朗文擁有最實用和最通用的搭配和釋義，而且它的詞彙頻率分級可以幫助你循序漸進。傾向於美式的麥林韋氏擁有最標準的美式音標和俚語。除此之外，它們還有更多的優點等待你去發現。談到漢英詞典，直接從商務印書館出版的系列還不錯，但是我仍然不建議你比英漢詞典更加關注它。很多漢語詞彙對應的英文釋義和例句不夠地道。太多中國學者和教授堅持用它們而不顧生硬是造成如今中式英語氾濫的原因。作為一名英語愛好者，我期待更加地道自然的漢英詞典的出版。甚至我可以為編纂做出貢獻。所謂的最好的不一定適合你，最適合你的才是最好的。

Providing that you had read all of the artworks written by Shakespeare,you would have acquired roughly twenty thousand vocabulary,yet you would have acquired more than seventy thousand vocabulary after acquainting with one dictionary.My father told me before:"Neither repeat yourself nor others."But this is just the basic skill and far from sufficient if you really want to learn English well.The British,American original books,radios,movies,TV dramas etc. will be conducive to your further study as well.The last but important,don't forget to speak out and talk in English bravely.Let's improve English together and promote the win-win cooperation between China and the world.
