though和although都可以作“雖然”講，區別在哪裡呢？
我們首先來看看它們的共同點。
though和although都可以引導讓步狀語從從句。though和although當“雖然”講，都不能和but連用，但可以同yet(still)連用。比如說：
Though she was poor, yet she wanted to buy that dress.儘管她很貧窮，然而她還是想買那件禮服。
Although it wasn't dangerous, the teacher didn't allow them to swim.雖然不危險，老師還是不讓他們去游泳。
兩者的區別共有4點。
1.although比though更為正式，though普遍的運用於非正式的表述中。
2.在as though固定搭配中，though不可以替換成although。
3.although比though更正式，相對而言，語氣比較重，但是though的使用更普遍。although引導的從句，常指實際發生的事情，而不是假設或設想。比如說下面這兩個句子：
He would not be unhappy though he should have to live alone.
就算一個人住，他也不會不開心。（假設）
He was not unhappy although he had to live alone.
雖然他不得不一個人住，卻沒有不開心。（實際發生）
4.though可以用作副詞你，指“但是”，但是although不行。比如說：
He said he would come,he didn't ,though.（句中的though不能替換成although）
他說他要來，但是他沒有。
這種把though放在句尾表示“但是”，在口語中是非常高頻使用的，我們要多加練習。
