英文中很多短語長得超像，不過差一個介詞意思就都不一樣了
像是 in time (及時) 跟 on time (準時)

介係詞 + hand
記得！以下五個短語的 hand 皆不用複數

1. at hand 即將到來的、在手邊的、在附近的 (near in time or place)
中文意思太多不好記？看看英文解釋吧！
時間上比較接近就是“即將快到了”的意思
區域上比較接近的就是形容“附近”
- The midterm exam is at hand. （期中考快到了。）
- I always have my notebook at hand in class. （我上課時手邊都會準備筆記本。）
2. on hand 手頭上的、待處理的 (something ready for use or at the disposal of)
on 本來就是在…上面的意思，on hand 就是用來形容手頭上有什麼資源可以運用
而當 on hand 解釋為“手頭上有~”的時候，on 可以替換成 in，on hand=in hand。
不過如果 on hand 是解釋為“待處理的”的時候，就不可以換介詞了。
- I have no cash on/in hand. （我手頭上沒有現金。）
- I will be super busy this week because there are much work on hand.（我這禮拜會超忙，因為有太多工作要做了。）
3. in hand 手頭上的、正在進行的、掌握住的(have something under control or deal with something at the moment)
握在手裡的東西大部分都是自己“可以掌握”的對吧！所以這個意思比較好記
- The police took the situation in hand after ten minutes. （警方在十分鐘後掌握情況。）
而另一個意思“正在進行”
小編則是跟進行式的 -ing 做聯想，都有 in 這樣比較好記。
- We have a project in hand. It’s about developing potential customers.（我們正在進行一個關於開發新客戶的專案。）
4. by hand 手製的、手工的 (do something by one’s hands)
因為東西是“被做的”，而被動態通常後面會接 by，翻譯成“藉由”
- This sweater is woven by hand.（這件毛衣是手工織的。）
