在雅思寫作評分標準中，保證詞彙的多樣性常常成為寫作中最直觀的困難。大家都想標新立異，可想到“優秀”的時候腦海裡只浮現出“good”，想到“勤奮”就只有“work hard”，更別提那些千篇一律的“play an important role”、“more and more”了。
以上，都是中國學生最常使用的一些詞夥，如果僅僅帶著這些詞夥走上考場，是很難征服考官，讓考官眼前一亮的。因此，為了幫大家掃除困難，小兔特地整理了一份乾貨貼，收集了讓雅思作文增色的寫作詞夥，它們地道又好用，一定會成為大家寫作提分的必備法寶！
1、offer sb an incentive to do 激勵某人做某事
* Sure, a higher salary can offer more talented people an incentive to take teaching as a profession. 當然，高薪能激勵更多人才選擇做老師。
2、 one of a kind 獨一無二
*Be confident when you apply for a job; you have to believe you are one of a kind and you can make a contribution. 應聘時一定要自信，你要相信你是獨一無二的，一定會為他們做出貢獻。
3、there’s no sense in doing 沒意義/沒道理做某事
*Since the test is over, there’s no sense in regretting about wrong answers. 都考完了，就別再悔憾答錯的題了。
4、miss out on sth 錯失...失去…
*Employees should be brought into the decision-making process, otherwise the company will miss out on new thoughts and novel ideas.下屬應該參與決策的過程，否則公司就會錯失很多新穎的想法。
5、all walks of life 各行各業
*Innovation is a quality required in all walks of life. 各行各業都需要創新。
6、be a huge factor in determining ... 對…起著決定性作用＝ be a decisive/determining factor
*To pursue a hobby outside work, disposable time and money can be a decisive factor. 為了在工作外追求一個愛好，有錢和時間起著決定性作用。
7、in full swing 活躍，全力進行中
*This year the parties are in full swing. 今年的聚會如火如荼的進行著。
舉一反三你也可以說campaign/learning/social activity is in full swing.
8、at the cost of … 以…為代價
*We shouldn’t enjoy an economic boom at the cost of environment. 我們不能為了經濟發展而犧牲環境。
9、fall short of 缺乏
*Distance education falls short of proper guidance and supervision.遠程教學缺乏足夠的指導和監督。
10、on the verge of 瀕臨於，接近於
*Before you know it, your productivity is waning, you feel tired more easily and you are on the verge of breakdown. 在你意識到之前，效率在驟降，你容易感到勞累並且瀕臨崩潰的邊緣。
11、do more harm than good 弊大於利 v.
*For someone who lacks self control and discipline, Internet may actually do more harm than good. 對於沒有自制力和自控力的人而言，互聯網或許會弊大於利。
12、in exchange for …以…作為交換
*Professional athletes deserve the high salary they receive because it’s just the compensation in exchange for putting their body through so much. 專業運動員值得高薪，因為這是他們身體經受磨練的補償。
13、burn out 精疲力竭 v.
*Young people juggling school and work can easily burn out. 年輕人如果兼顧學習和工作很容易精疲力竭。
14、build up 聚積，逐漸增強 v.
*You should learn to release stress and build up confidence when preparing for finals. 在為期末準備時，你需要減輕壓力並且建立自信。
15、be stuck in 被困於... v.
*If you do well on how things may go wrong, then you’d be stuck in such negativity and end up with nothing done by the end of the day. 如果你老想著事情會變得怎麼不好，那麼你很可能被困於消極的情緒並且這一天最終什麼都做不成。
16、be stressed out 壓力大的 adj.
*Naturally, body weight exercises can be good for you. But working out too intensely will stress you out/ will make you stressed out. 當然，自重訓練對你很好。但是如果鍛鍊得過於劇烈，也會使你壓力大。
17、show promise in… 在...方面顯示出很有前途
*The scholarship is offered to those who show great promise in their respective fields.獎學金是提供給那些在自己的領域方面顯示出很有前途的人。
18、draw on 吸取，借鑑，利用
*In every discipline, creativity also draws on skill, knowledge and control. 在每個學科中，創新同樣要利用技術、知識和管理力。
19、be caught up in 捲入，陷入，沉浸在
*As long as you are alive and on earth, you are caught up in a global revolution. 當你活在地球上，你就被捲入了全球革命。
20、put a strain on… 對…形成/施加壓力
*Technological innovation and population growth are putting a vast strain on the Earth’s natural resources. 科技創新和人口增長對地球生態資源施加了巨大壓力。
21、keep track of 記錄，記下/ lose track of 忘記，記不清
*As you grow older, you may lose track of time and of things that happened in the past. But a photo album can do the trick and help you keep track. 當你老去，你會忘記以前度過的美好時光和發生過的事，但是相冊可以做到幫你記錄。

25、conform to 遵守,符合
*Everyone has to conform to the company’s dressing code rules about what you can wear.每個人都必須遵守公司的著裝規定。
26、be conducive to 有利於，有助於
*Exercising regularly can be conducive to a balanced life. 規律運動有利於健康平衡的生活。
27、devote to sth 致力於，奉獻＝commit oneself to sth=be dedicated to
*In a test-oriented education system,teachers tend to devote more time to preparing students for scoring high in tests. 在應試教育體系中，老師們傾向於投入更多的時間在學生的高分上。
28、a state of mind 心態
*Instead of being in a stressful task-switching state of mind, you should let everything else go and just focus on this one task in the moment. 與其處於一種有壓力的工作切換狀態中，你應該排除雜念，眼下只專注於一個任務。
29、steer away from 避開
*Generations of young people have been steered away from the arts with benign advice about poor job prospects. 年輕一代聽取了關於藝術行業不樂觀的職業前景的善意建議而避開了它。
*You should try to steer away from trouble.你應該試著避開麻煩。
30、be wary of 警惕
*In a rapidly changing environment employers constantly fear that their best talent will be poached by other companies.
